I sincerely thank @Sumedha and @Shruthi for sharing such facts/points with us.This discussion here has been so interesting.
And yes Shruthi, not much have been convinced from the side of 3 queens of Dashrath.I personally believe each of them was unique and still quite similar with each other. There could be so many sayings,so many versions of this vast story,if it could be from the pov of these characters...
Coming to Sita, whatever be,never could one find someone like her.I actually love the way how SKR potrays her character.
By any means, she had been assigned to play an important role in history, for the welfare of mankind.

@bold thankyou so much Mili ! This means a lot .
Yes , the queens part is quite unsatisfactory .
I sometimes wonder , Valmiki wrote their story so we know about them .
there might be many queens like them who had lived their life's just being slaves to their Husbands , sharing their part of love with so many other queens .
I got to say . Janak was an exemplary character as well . I love him vry much for his principles.

@sruthi he went to protect his brother and his wife. So in jungle when he has to choose whom to protect in jungle between his bhabi and his wife, he might have to choose his bhabi.
So actually by keeping her in palace he gives her the best possible protection under the circumstance so that at a later time he does not have to take a choice of whose life is more important his bhabi or his wife.
A husband's duty is to protect wife. In jungle Lakshman cannot offer that protection to Urmila. She understood that dilemma and allowed him to go.
Her service was liberating him of that dilemma whose life is important in jungle by her act and that was her support too.
Because if something happens to Urmila, Lakshman will never be able to forgive himself.

👏 for these words..

Very thought provoking post...
Yes, al characters in Ramayan were showcased as ideal. Every decision they took reflected ideal situation only, which cannot happen now, but yes it presents the ideal state of human behaviour. Characters went through ethical crisis where they had to make one moral decision among two moral choices. This is really hard when you have to choose one right among two rights. The more look I into the chracters of Ramayan, the deeper I can understand the pinnacle of emotional pain that they went through. But as the saying goes, love is in sacrifice. When one feels the ultimate level of pain in love, it becomes more spriritual than material love. Ram and Sita went through this pain to showcase the highest limit of pain that a human can bear. After all, they were Gods and such ideal examples can only be set by God so that the ordinary humans can lead their life on the principles and examples set by Him on this earth. Same applies to Lakshman, Urmila, Dashrath, and all.
In every religion, we can see how God went through pain to set the ideals in the human race whether that is Jesus Christ or Lord Rama. Material detachment leading to spiritual advancement is what all I can understand from the overall journey of Ram and Sita and all the other characters in the Epic.

Thank you so much !
You wrote it all brilliantly . Choosing one right among two rights is the most difficult but they did , nowadays we fail to choose the right btween right and wrong. They are gods afterall .
I still cant believe that there was a time when ppl like these existed in real world and walking in this very planet Earth .Such ppl might have existed only in the world of Maaya . they are Ideals for not just Hinduism or Indians but to the whole Mankind.

Now , my mind completely agrees . Thanks a ton for clearing it . Ramayan is so fascinating that even if I keep learning my whole life I ll be left with something or the other.
Still learning it , will learn rest of my life . I guess Ramayan is the only epic which was narrated in a single sloka(we learnt it in ma schl days) and at the same time it can be a never ending Epic.
Thankyou for being so patient and explaining it with so much of detailing .

@sruthi I have questioned, I have tried to understand. One thing I know is that we should not look one action independently, we have to look at the circumstance also before we judge.
Conflict of duty everyone has. Ramayan shows how conflict of duty is handled.
And over the years from this epic people have only taken the action, not the intend and the problem lies there.
