Relationships are so complex, and are in so many shades!
The simple sweet love of Rama Sita, or the emotions of urmila, hidden behind false anger

Or the devotional reverential love of Bharat for Rama - which was so eloquently summed up in one

line - I will side with you, because that's what my Rama bhaiyya has told me to do...

Or the protective love of Laksman who is always ready to fight for his brother

Or the maryada bound love of Ayodhya, which doesn't consider

it appropriate for a betrothed couple to meet

The concerned love of parent, as displayed by Janak

Or the accepting love of Rama, where the happiness of those he loves is all important

Be it understanding Sita's nervousness about the food she cooked for him,

Or understanding what kekeyis reaction would be to his alliance with Sita ,

And personally writing to her, to seek her approval

Love can also be controlling, like kekeyis love for Rama,

- in her ambition to find the best alliance for him, she is not ready to accept the inevitable

And love can be highly selfish, as shown by Manthara - she loves kekeyi, there's no doubt of that

But it's a constricting, possessive love, that ends up damaging the very person who is loved !

And the last from of love - excessive self love - where the person is so focused on self,

that the whole world is a potential enemy

This love is vengeful and most damaging

And Ravana is a case in that !

So, today's episode showed all these ranges of love from the gentle all encompassing love of Rama

To the violent vitriolic love of Ravana...

Waise apne Rama ji ke pyaar ka andaz bahut pyaara hai!

All those pyaar Bhari looks, and all those Chupe Chupe se compliments - about mitti ki Mithas,

Aur Sita ji, aap bhi Kaam nahi, itna fishing for compliments?

Aur urmila ji, you are totally lattoo over lakshman Ji!

Yes Arshics relations are complex and you summed up all shades of love. I would particularly like to highlight Bharat-Kaikeyi convo. It was a beauty. How sweetly Bharat is trying to convince his mother. How much Bharat has understood his brother. That he takes decisions with a level head. So if his mother loves her Bhaiyya truly she should not be judgemental on his decision. I mean his speech was so sweet, jaise Maa Saraswati was in his tongue. And that calm smile that doesnt hide anything in the heart. They have portrayed Bharath endearingly.

Beautiful post arshi
U summed up everything through one feeling , the feeling that bounds us all - love
So many different shades and each having its own motive , the world runs on this , the world lives on this .

A very beautiful post.
A feeling that bounds everyone together is the love for each other.
And you beautifully described different shades of love.
Apart from love we also saw a concern which every mother has for her child.
In today's episode the Bharat and Kaikeyi conversation was highlight.
How a brother tries to convince their mother for his elder brother.
And a complete contrast Kaikeyi who makes his son to choose between her and her brother...completely possessive love for his son.
And about the scene where Ram gives compliments chupke chupke after being asked by Sita thoda directly was a nice scene.
Loved it.

Arshi, beautiful summary of a lovely episode. The episode was of love and the difference of love between every relation. Loved Bharat and Keikei conversation and it reflected the love he had for his Brother. Lakshman's love for Ram and the love between Ram and Sita. Ravan once again showed his selfishness and Manthara her her love through her possessiveness.

Awesome post and right Sita was so eager to get compliments from Ram and Ram ji was indirectly giving compliments to her and also Urmila is very clever she wants to meet Lakshman so she was forcing her Sita didi to accompany her to Gauri temple .šŸ˜†šŸ˜‰

A very nice post Arshi. Out of all the list, I loved Kaikeyi's over concerned love for her Ram on how he should not suffer after marriage if the match is perfect or on the same grounds. here she is just a dotting mother who fears any sadness befall on her child because of this unmatched marriage as Sita or state is no where near to their own. Her doubt is also not baseless as she would have seen how difficult and painful it will be if there is any mismatch in couple and may be initially the flaws will be overlooked but later they same flaws will be looked through microscope and the harmony of the relation is lost. If the man is not happy with his wife, the effect will be on his family and in case of a king it will be on his praja as well. In a marriage if the husband feels superior and wife feels inferior complex, they can never be happy and in a polygamy family, a wife with inferior background will be subsided by others and if that person happens to be the first wife, the man will also face the brunt. She knows her Ram too well to think otherwise and share his problems with his family but he will ungulf everything within himself and suffer and she was not ready to subject her beloved son for that. And she was not that concered for her other kids as she knew they will express their happiness or unhappiness openly and apart from their parents, they have their epitome in the form of theuir big brother and he will take care of everything for them. But her Ram is mild, soft hearted and less spoken one and her worry was too much for him. And I didn't find any pretext in her this cautious love for her beloved child.
