And once again they showed the contrast of Ram and Ravan. Ravan wants Dhanush. Ram he respects the soil Janaki was born, respects the culture she was bought up. Everyday he is getting endearing to the people of Mithila.
I am loving the way they are setting up Ram's character. You know that guy jise dekhte hi papa will want him as son in law, mama will do laad pyaar, sisters will enjoy the time with him. The one you want in the family.

And last but not the least Sita telling in mind. Wo aayenge. hai hai she is already addressing him as her husband.

Yup Shruthi, total Tashan wala villain we have got in Ravana !

The most entertaining thing is that he is the self proclaimed winner of the swayamwar, he has already declared that Sita will be his wife, and has no clue that he is also the most despised person of the swayamwar!

Everyone wants Rama Sita Milan, including they themselves, yet they are all doing it like a silent prayer, dil se nikli dua- silent prayers- contrasting with Ravana bribing Mahadev

U know that today when I was watching SKR scene where Raavan talks with Mahadev Like u need me Mahadev not i need u so my mom said that it was his Ahankaar only that made him lose the swayamwar whereas i didn't liked that scene also where he rudely talks with kushaldhwaj, I was like tu toh swayamwar main aakar bohot bada kaam kiya hai and he dosen't know that our Sita dosen't want gold but wants respect, love, care which only Ram can give.
Today when I was watching the scene where Siya enters I don't know if only i felt like this or someone else also did that all rajas were only having lust for her and that their eyes were telling when they were giving her lustful looks.
Whereas when Ram met her it was not that he didn't got mesmerised by her beauty but he was not having lust and was giving her respect and even in the cliff scene he didn't make her feel uncomfortable and casted her looks but in a different manner
Now I am waiting for the mment when they will get arried looking forward totheir marriage
Sita was just looking like apsara and Ram was just...Kya kahe???

With Lots Of Love,
Anushka

Ya Anushka, I too felt that the other Rajas were eying her but not really interested in her as a person!

Anyway, Sita has already made her choice, so everybody else is just for manoranjan as Ravana said, tho of course he doesn't know that he is the biggest manoranjan of all

I was laughing when Malyavaan was busy in praising raavan...
He us praising that swayamvar will end when raavan will come and what will be end raavan trying his best to pick dhanush...
Over confidence...

Arshi, lovely post. Ram and Ravan are poles apart. Ram is down to earth and respects his elders even though he too is a prince. On the other hand Ravan is proud of his so called shakthi and superiority. This was the reason why Lord Shiv turned His face away from him even though he was His bhakth.

And even in Bhakti there is arrogance, he is try to win over Mahadev by bribing Him, that was just hilarious!

His pride will be his downfall as we aLl know

Very nicely put Arshi. Poles apart they are. Rama is so humble, down to earth, has so much love in him that he has become Love. Ravana exactly opposite. So arrogant and so full of 'I', 'my' and 'mine'.

Sita looked so beautiful indeed and Rama looked extremely handsome today. Liked the field scene and his readiness to help and also to learn.

Ravana has good dialogues showing how egoistic and powerful he is etc. but somewhere character mein dum nahin hai yaar. Voice mein bhi aur dialogue delivery mein bhi.
Maalyavaan was very effective in his speech. Very good expressions.

@Arshics: Very well summarized the episode. I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogues of Ravan and was happily hating him , OMG, when I became evil?😉

When I came to know from forum that the story writer is the one who is the author of book Ajaya, I thought I may hate the show when Ravan was introduced. But I learned again, not to be pre-judgemental.😆

Coming to the topic, CV's well explained the characteristic of each and every character along with their followers (especially the people in the kingdom).

When someone see I he/she can't view U and V. Ravan had a pride over his qualities but when he underestimate others, then came his defeat.

Waiting for ur poetry on Ravan😊

Yes, true. I used to watch a soap a few years back. It was about Krishna and how He takes her form to protect her. And, an asur enters to fight with His devotee unaware that he was against Kanha Himself. He was asked why the asur had got powers and Kanha replies that at times when a person does penance God gives him powers, but if after achieving the powers he starts misusing and becomes arrogant he has to be punished.
