What is your name (or what can we all call you)? I'm called Desto.

Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before? I've watched Mahabharat before, also a couple of regional ones.

How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show? I've heard the story, had to study it. I've read few different versions other than Valmiki Ramayana.

What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show? Can't think of any right now.

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita? I don't know. I guess I'll know that only after I see them as Ram and Sita.

What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past? Mahabharat.

Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before? Some insight into Sita's thoughts. I want to see Sita's reaction when she is abandoned, her reaction other than forgiving Ram.

Nice to meet you, Desto! 🤗

I actually wanted to reply to you on this point, because Valmiki Ramayan does delve into Sita's thoughts when she is left in the forests. At first, she is angry at Ram and wonders why he abandoned her. She thinks of giving up her life and invoking Goddess Earth to take her back then and there, but then she calms down and instead blames the people of Ayodhya for her plight. She knows Ram loves her and never doubted her once in his life, and everything he did was as per his duty as King. She then decides to go to nearby Valmiki ashram for shelter, give birth to her children and hand them over to Ram before returning to her mother.

I am Angela Grokes. You can call me Angel, Angela or whatever you want to.

Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before?
Nope. I have watched Mahabharat also.

How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show?
I know the summary and that's it. Besides that, I know nothing in detail.

What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show?
Like I said, I know the summary only. So I will cannot say anything about this.

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita?
Ashish, I have not seen him earlier in his earlier shows know I think he should just be the way he is. Madirakshi, I definitely expect her to do good on acting front because the show is centered around Sita's POV. Hence, I expect a lot from her.

What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past?
Star Plus' MB is the only one I have watched and loved it despite all the distortions.

Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before?
HMM... I would say I expect sensible portrayal of Sita and her views. Distortions will be there, but I still expect some intelligent handling of the storyline.

Hi, whats your name? 🤗

Valmiki does delve into Sita's thought but I never found them satisfactory. You that was Valmiki talking about Sita's feelings. It's from narrators POV. I wanted to know if from Sita's Pov, could there be another dimension to the scenario?

What is your name (or what can we all call you)? I am known as Janaki on IF, you can also call me Janu. :)

Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before? Mythological shows and researching on the various puranas of our culture are my passion, so I have nearly watched all the mythological shows ever made, except a few. My favorite ones are the two Ramayan shows by Sagar Arts (1986 one and 2008 one), especially the 2008 one by NDTV Imagine. I also watched Zee Tv's Ramayan in 2012 but never liked it much. I watched Star Plus' Mahabharat last year and though its story was distorted in ways that made me go crazy at times, I did like the actors a lot. My favorite Krishna-based show is the Shri Krishna serial made by Ramanand Sagar in the 90s.

How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show? I wouldn't say I'm an expert by any means, but I do know a lot about it due to my research into various versions, and I do know the difference between showing stories from another version besides Valmiki, and showing utter fiction. So no director can get past me by showing fiction in the name of "other versions". 😉😆
What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show? I want to see their love for each other in its purest form, and I also want to see the dignity and grace of their characters. Often in mytho shows of the 21st century, the dignity of Godly characters is totally lost and they seem like any modern girl or guy you meet today. Just to help modern viewers relate to Godly characters, directors should not change the characters and make them more modern, because guess what? The Gods were not like that, and by showing such wrong details, modern viewers get the wrong impression. It is what happened with Star Plus' Mahabharat, and I do not want to see it happen with Ramayan. I have nothing against seeing an intelligent and wise Sita, because the real Sita Ma was intelligent and wise, but I would hate seeing her as this radical feminist who's outspoken and impertinent, because Sitaji was never like that. There is strength in silence too, and Sita Ma is known for her silent resilience. That is what I want to see in this Ramayan.
What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita? They should have respect for the characters they are playing, and if they truly do, then everything else will come naturally.
What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past? Anand Sagar's Ramayan from 2008-2009 is my most favorite and will always remain close to my heart, but I also love 1986 Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar and his Shri Krishna serial in the 90s. I like other shows, but none have become my favorite. The only modern mythological show to become my favorite is Anand Sagar's Ramayan on NDTV Imagine.
Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before? Even though I came up with this question, it's pretty difficult to answer it, LOL, because other television adaptations of Ramayan pretty much covered everything, but in this show, I do wish to see more stories from Valmiki Ramayan that haven't been covered, especially in Yuddha Kand. Since this show is being made on a grand scale, they should show the war between Ram and Ravan very detailed, and touch upon all or at least most of the battles. It would be interesting to watch and learn about.

I'm Janaki :)

See, the thing is, any interpretation into Sita's character will be just that, an interpretation, because Sita was an incarnation of Goddess Mahalakshmi. No matter what we may say or believe, she was a Goddess and no human being like us can expect to know what's going on in God's mind. 😆 😳 So this show, or any other show, can try their hand at explaining what was going on in her mind, but in the end of the day, what they show will only be an interpretation. Valmiki Ramayan is the one version we have as close to the truth as possible, and we have to remember that although Ram and Sita were born different entities, they both are the male and female aspects of one God. They both are the same. So neither of them ever doubted or ever disliked each other. It wouldn't make sense if they did.

RamKiJanaki!!!! Hii!!!

What is your name (or what can we all call you)?
Shyam 😛

Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before?
Nah, grew up watching mytho shows. BRC's MB, R.Sagar's Ramayan, NDTV Ramayan, StarBharat, etc.

How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show?
Enough to have a great discussion, not enough to offer really hardcore opinions when debates and arguments appear.

What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show?
Romance. As a guy, I'm a huge sucker for Sita-Ram romance

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita?
Just to play the roles as best as they can. I'm not looking to see them as sakshad Sita-Ram, but if they can bring out the qualities of the Sita-Ram we know and love, that would be awesome

What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past?
StarBharat had some nice parts, had some good laughs with people in that forum. NDTV Ramayan is by far my favorite Ramayan serial

Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before?
I think the answer is fairly obvious -- Sita's true perspective and not some dramatized nonsense. The problem with mytho shows is that they twist it for higher TRPs. True beauty lies in its simplicity. So I'm hoping for a Sita that oozes naturalism. Also, a part of me wants to see Sita pick up a sword and practice fighting as a young adult, despite how crazy it is. I'm affected by the Rudramadevi bug 😆😆
