What is your name (or what can we all call you)?
Padmaja
Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before?
Yes, watched old Mahabharat, Ramayan. Also read Mahabharat the epic book which was gifted to my mother while she was in her Matriculation.
How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show?
I am curious to know how they will project Ramayan from Sita's perceptive.
What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show?
I always felt that Sita is a strong character, when ever I read about her. I want to see that angle, not the age old belief.

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita?
I don't have any idea about Madirakshi, but Ashish, he is capable of carrying off the character Ram. I saw him in Chandragupta Maurya.
What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past?
The Ramayan, The Mahabhara (both Old), and Mahadev.
Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before?

I saw Ramayan from Ram's perspective. Always people refer Ramayan as the story of Maryada Purushottam Ram but never shown that actually Sita was his strength. I want to see the Purush transforming into Maryada Purushottam (The God) with Sita as his inspiration, strength and pride.

Hi Friends,
I watched the first two episodes and got impressed, so I am here. Previously I joined another forum for mythological show, but it disappointed me and I stopped watching it in just 4 days. So I waited for the episodes to air first and then thought to join here.

I am Ramya and I have watched BRC Mahabharat and SP MB, RS Ramayan before. Mahabharat is my all time favourite.

I have read different versions of Ramayan but what I know is just a drop in ocean. So I want to learn more from the show and forum.

Regarding actors, seriously I don't know about them. May be I will get to know during the journey of the show.

"what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before?"

I want to know answers for so many questions which still exist regarding Rama and Ravan. I have read Kamba Ramayanam which I feel is quite misinterpreted regarding Vali death. I want to know why still some say that Ravan was the father of sita (I personally feel that as impossible)

Hope to enjoy here in the forum

What is your name (or what can we all call you)? Shruthi
Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before? No I have watched DD version of MB and Ramayan, 2013 SP Mahabharath. Zee TV Ramayan partially. I have a penchant for Indian mythology and I have read from Amar Chitra Katha to different versions of Ramayana. My research has always been to connect the mythological stories in today's life. How those learnings can help us lead a better life. The connection of these stories with mystism and science. I have travelled a lot in this direction, but would say still a long journey is there.
How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show? I know the basic version by that I mean Valmiki Ramayan, Ramcharitamanas and Mali Ramayan.
What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show? The beauty of their love story in all its glory. Theirs is an eternal love story
What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita? There is a serenity to Ram and this quality cannot be compromised. In Sita there is serenity, assertiveness and a silent inner strength. In other words unlike Panchali in whom Shakthi is prominent, in Sita Lakshmi is prominent. So at every point it needs to be ensured that Shakthi never over takes Lakshmi in her character.
What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past? I loved old DD Ramayan, DD MB and the latest 2013 MB also. 2013 MB irrespective of the story distortions ( I didn't like Pandavas crying when trying to kill Bhishma as in a daily soap, plan to murder Abhimanyu etc etc..) but the way they presented Krishna and Krishna's actions that can be related to present day society I admire it.
Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before? Already made a long post about it. But basically I would like to see the human side of these divine characters. Yes many want the divinity to be there, but I want humanity to be more present. Because only if humanity is present people will feel they can also do this, they can also live the way Ram or Krishna lived is my take. Maybe this ardent devotee of Krishna worship him in the form of a friend the same way Arjuna worshipped him and her experience has been quite rewarding in this form of worship that he was always there for her when she needed him the most.

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita?
