Just a thought I wanted to share.
We all have a tendency to compare season 2 characters with season 1. If we look at the story pov, I feel season 2 has to be seen in another angle. Agreed, Mishti is Mauli's chhavi according to the writer, but we should probably look deeper than merely comparing situations with season 1, I feel.

Season 1: Preleap was about infidelity and how three individuals acted and reacted in the situation. If Kunal had taken it slowly, after divorcing Mauli, Kunan relationship would have got more acceptance. There had to be a respectable way of doing it.

Season 1 post leap : This was about shattering the beliefs that love could happen only once - it was a lesson Mauli learned.

Season 2:This is about two individuals, scarred from the lives of their parents. One is too adamant about commitment, she doesn't believe love is enough or perhaps her definition of love is only commitment and friendship. By and large, that should be enough to have a secure future, but what if her definition and understanding of love is wrong? Mauli had to be convinced she loved Ishaan before she married him, because commitment was not enough for her. She never doubted he might leave her, but she wanted to be sure she loved him and not her ex. In contrast, Mishti has based her life only on commitment, thus keeping a safe distance from love and its complications.

The other protagonist Pari, is portrayed as someone who doesn't want love or commitment to complicate her life. Given a chance, she would have loved to be left alone as a spinster. After this introduction of hers, I'm finding it difficult to understand Pari falling for Ruhaan. I wonder what the writer wants to show through her story. I have a feeling the writer intends to show her journey through a heartbreak, leading her to open her eyes to her true love.

I am sure both the characters are loved equally by the writer and hopefully they will do justice to both.

Veer - Mishti-Ruhaan is different from season 1 characters for me, because I am expecting a different story here. Veer and Mishti are at boyfriend girlfriend level, where they are comfortable with each other and one step nearer to the commitment called marriage. Couples can break up over various incompatibility issues, so should think ten times over before entering marriage. I hope the story is headed that way.

Dear we r not comparing characters...makes r doing that
Remember their promo...mauli ki chhavi mishti aur nandini jaisi creative pari...no one wants to compare but makers r deliberately showing the similarities...so we can't help it

Yes this story is definitely about how one girl realises that life can't always be perfect and planned
She doesn't believe in sparks and attractions and feels love means commitment

While the other doesn't believe in commitment at all and thinks love is whrn violins play in the background

Their journeys is to start believing in what they refuted all their lives

Mishti will realise that life can't be planned and love can come in any form ehile sparks and attraction exist..she will experience that form of love

While Pari will realise what true lovr actually means and how important commitment is

Now the problem is the EXECUTION !

writers have messed up with Mishti's side of the story I feel
MishAan should have been based on an emotional connect or there should have been something missing in MishVeer that Mishti's monologues could have pointed out

If writers want to show that MishAan are meant to be as destiny is trying to make them meet then writers have faltered here

Cos from what I see Mishti was in a happy commited relation and she was satisfied and never once felt that something was missing and then comes Ruhan with whom again she hasn't had a single scene which was based on an emotional connect, understanding etc. So they are coming across as more of an infatuation rather than anything else...so now her leaving Veer for Ruhan doesn't feel right to me...she will be choosing the less wrong path by leaving him as opposed to sticking with him despite being in love with Ruhan which would have been more wrong...makers have done a very poor job when it comes to Mishti's journey as per me

If we look clearly then they have played the same situation but mellowed it down and reversed the genders

Pari is not in love I feel...although at least in her case there is some sort of bonding , emotional connect with Ruhan...this was handled well by the writers

But still she isn't in love yet..it's more of an infatuation I guess...Coz she is yet to learn the true meaning of love and realise the value of commitment

This will happen after she goes through a heartbreak
She needs a man who believes in love, is mature, carign , understanding and believes in commitment

It very well could be Arnav but I want soemoen more mature for Pari...Arnav is childish and he himself needs to learn a lot in life.

So, yup their plot on paper seemed quite interesting but the execution failed big time as per me

Nandini jaisi creative Pari! 😆

OK, I never saw that. Creative Pari, I get. Creative Nandini - didn't see much of it, except the wardrobe and Cooking skills. Did they mean Pari is as dreamy as Nandini. So difficult to compare them, because Pari is so bold, totally opposed to Nandini.

Even Mishti is so rigid, compared to Mauli. I don't see much of connect actually. The chhavi can be explained as the need to be righteous in every situation, I guess.

Season 2 reminds me of chalte chalte movie(Shahrukh khan-rani mukherjee ).
In chalte chalte movie , rani mukherjee (priya) 's engagement was fixed with a guy who was just like veer in the movie . Rani was living in greece and had given assurance and commitment to that guy and her family that she will do engagement with that guy once after coming back from india .

During her visit to india , she fall for a guy named raj (shahrukh khan) who was nowhere near that guy whom she had given commitment for engagement . For raj it wass love at first site for priya but priya was not ready and going back to greece for her engagement with that guy .on other side raj was not ready to given up on her love so he chased her and accompany her on her journey till her home town greece . At last rani realized her love for shahrukh in movie just before few minutes of engagement and decide to break her commitment and then she got married to shahrukh in movie .

Here only difference is mishti got engaged unfortunately before getting time to realize what she feels for ruhaan is above definition of commitment .

I don't think they ever said Pari doesn't believe in commitment. She just wanted to stay away from love in any form.
Emotional connect to Ruhaan - she had him helping out with the bike breakdown and her deal, boosting her confidence.

Mishti feels a connection with Ruhaan which cannot be called physical. It is not like she recalls his touch or the kisses. They are more of scary things for her. She has seen the good side of the guy, dealing with her siblings and still wants to push him away, not even wanting him as a friend. It is not physical attraction, I don't understand why people say that. It is just that both feel an invisible bond or connect. The ghabraahat is so much a part of every romantic relationship , where you would wait in anticipation , excitement. That's how a love story goes in real life. They are not jumping at each other to hug or kiss or do any physical act. It is a feeling that is sinking in slowly.

Pari is feeling what Mishti and Ruhaan are feeling for each other, at a milder level. That's why it is an infatuation.

Veer is a good guy. A girl like Mishti is romantic deep down. He can satisfy her physical needs, but emotionally they are not on the same page. It is unfortunate, but it doesn't always work out. If Mishti succeeds in cutting down her emotional side, and be practical, she is not being true to herself. She needs to explore it and understand it before she rejects that side to her.

That's a good comparison.. 👍🏼

Obviously , if they didn't show her married to Veer yet, they are telling a different story from Season One . This is what I feel.

They Cleary mentioned that Pari is commitment phobic

I don't see any emotional connect ehrn it comes to MishAan...if u notice all they remember ehrn they think of each other is either dare kiss or the nail marks or accidental romance
Mishti clearly didn't fall for his goodness and same goes for Ruhan
It started off with physical attraction...more than the good side makers have focused on the attraction and sparks .
Also no it is not going slowly but super rushed precisely why at least I find it all the more based on attraction
One day she is planning romantic date for her fiance and in the next couple of days feels uncomfortable ehrn he hugs her and wants Ruhan to wish her birthday.

It clearly is a case of attraction for me rather than true love

For Pari in fact I can understand since she isn't in a relation plus there have been scenes to explain why she feels what she feels for Ruhan...he gave her the confidence, modelling scene where he called her the perfect woman etc.

But for Mishti who was in a happy relation it seems quite out of the blue
If Mishti ever felt that she was unsure of her feelings then she shouldn't have committed to Veer
Not only did she dated him, professed her love for him, got engaged to him but also decided to marry him and she clearly was elated to be with him
Now all of a sudden another guy enters and she falls for him...maybe writers wanted to project something else here but clearly they failed as Mishti seems quite wrong here...st least to me
