Also people really need to start appreciating televisions more. Like in the USA televisions are on par with movies actors if not bigger.

Here in India. BW stars are a brand and have good following.
I live in Mumbai. When we see TV stars at a mall , hardly few people recognize them and ask for autographs etc. eg I saw Drashti once. Hardly some 5-10 people had surrounded her at a mall. In contrast when I saw Shraddha Kapoor at a mall , people had mobbed her and her bodyguards were shooing them away. Movies are watched by men, women and children. Serials are watched by a percentage of ladies. Hence the difference in pay scale.
