Colors' popular show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka faced many a controversy for its bold storyline. In addition, the show grabbed eyeballs when one of its main protagonists, Drashti Dhami, decided to leave it.
Soon after, the makers and channel decided to end the show on the GEC and run it on their digital medium Voot.
The reason for Drashti suddenly leaving the show was said to be her apprehension on aging and playing a mother on screen.
Although this was the major reason for her to quit, it was not the only one.
TellyChakkar has exclusively learned that Drashti did not wish to play an insecure wife's character.
A source close to the project said, After Kunal and Nandini's marriage, Nandini was supposed to turn into an insecure wife, and Drashti did not want to play that character. To everybody's displeasure, she decided to quit.'
