There was a show called Kayamath on SP where the FL's father had an affair & decided to divorce his wife. But once he had taken his daughter in his lap & his mom warned him how his daughter would feel humiliation from everyone or him, he chose his marriage. He continued loving his GF but dedicated his life for his daughter.
Frankly, Dida had already blackmailed him. Nandini had pushed him away & all he wanted was to return. What could have happened after Mishti's birth is unpredictable.
So at this point when he is already a father & knows the value of a child - his yearning may be true.
And Mauli as an independent woman is absolutely justified in her stand.
But right now, as kids have been involved, I would rather want them to co-parent the girls & explain in a way where neither Mishti nor Pari would be hurt. Although I am doubtful about its possibility.
