Agree with TM. It looked like she still consented to sleep with Rajdeep those days she was still married to him. Wasn't she happy when she got pregnant? It's not like she didn't want a life with Rajdeep. Also Rajdeep was wrong to attempt to rape her after their separation. Any kind of sexual relations where one party is not consenting is RAPE!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!! Indian laws are archiac and regressive that's why they do not recognise martial rape as a criminal offence. The other countries you speak of will cut a person's hand for stealing so that's not much to hold in terms of examples.

Developed first world countries define this perfectly- even sex workers mid sex can say no and that's it. Anything beyond that is rape. Some people enjoy being dominated and role play, which is fine. Two consenting adults can do what they want but when stops that consent then it's rape.

Rape can take away a person's confidence, being raped by s stranger is horrifying but imagine your own husband raping you? You have to live with your rapist - that's worse than anything.
