Haan this I’ll accept and something I said in my initial posts too.
The shock value has become basically nothing because the track has been stretched to the max. By the time the bhoomipravesh happens, you are like arre ab khatam bhi karo yeh. The sheer grief is lost somewhere between the impatience of actually waiting for the moment . Grief is strong when you aren’t aware of what’s happening or it all happens within a short period. Bubble gum ki tarah keechenge toh na shock rehta hai, na grief.

My point was simply that he’s allowed to feel emotional & break down. Dialogues may feel filmy because it’s a show. Thoda about dramatic nahi honge toh show kaise chalega. At least they aren’t using the dhoom tanana bg music Ik we expect them to uphold the sanctity of the epic but to them it’s yet another show. Don’t think they put in *that* much thought tbh.

Dialogues were really good.

Saas ghar and pati ko khyal rakho

Bachhe bhi aise samaj expects every thing from stree and all is created by stree

Though aaj ki nari sab pe bhari

Still nari ka khud ka kuch nahi

Sasta ne speed breaker laga diya moment par.

Why they want to drag till Saturday

Next 6 days mein kaise finish karenge

Friday episode mein dikhayenge kya. I think aaj hi ho jayega bhumi pravesh. Then tomorrow Ramji angry wala part dikhayenge . Aaj hi vampire ko uda de toh hi achha hoga.

They’ll probably rush through the remaining story, hurry through it. Execution is very bad. Like I was saying in my previous post, grief ki value na depends on the shock value of the moment- when you are kinda prepared for it to happen somehow it doesn’t hit the way you expect it to.

They think it will fetch them good TRPs if they extend the moment as much as possible. It will just irritate the viewers and some might even end up missing it yeh Ph or iski stupid harkathe. How the hell did they even produce Mahabharat, I’ll never know.

Okay what I understood here is Agnipariksha is the metaphoric word used to show her hardship. She refused to take agni pariksha meant she refused to give anymore test of her chastity. Shri Ram never asked for any Agnipariksha but he did ask her to take oath to prove her chastity before he could take her back and she chose her self respect. Same way here she just chose her self respect

I watched few episodes of their star plus mahabharat show again recently on HULU. I don't know how I watched it when it was telecasted the first time. I guess I don't have patience now and have been not watching hindi tv soaps for a long time. After a long time I started watching Hindi shows with SR. My last hindi show was Kuch Rang Pyar ke Aisi Bhi on Sony tv.

Wednesday Episode was the best in terms of execution. Thursday episode was drag and still Sita did not leave the earth. Today they will waste time with Ram pursuading her and hopefully vampire is gone. Saturday Sita leaving the earth and Ram's anger/trying to accept the situation. Next week whole family mourning and Luv kush becoming Rajkumar.

They are distorting facts but what is unexpected about it - the dialogues are triggering though. Sita mata ko plight highlight karne ke liye they are making Ram look like a normal itv hero who’s either totally oblivious for the torment of the female lead / or doesn’t care / doesn’t trust her enough which is not the case here.

Real mein bhii Ram ji sahi nahi the like these people want them to show. He’s not a helpless spectator. He’s the king for god’s sake. *He* should have supported his wife, kingdom be damned. The first agnipariksha shouldn’t have happened, chalo let’s accept it was Mata’s choice. There was no need for the parityag , but then again these are all my personal opinions. There’s not doubt they have twisted it according to their convenience, choosing scenes which will have the maximum impact.
