This episode was again painful to watch...
Why do they show Rama so helpless again and again... He definitely was not helpless. He lived his life as a human but never gave up the right path. He definitely wouldn't allow people to harass his family this way, especially if it has been proven it is a single miscreant. Even when Lakshman was hurt with Ravana's spear, he fought Ravana, made him retreat and only then gave way to his grief and lamented. He wouldn't forget his duty just because he is pushed to a corner. Its definitely impossible to win against Rama be it war or statecraft.
This sort of story sends a wrong message that people who follow Dharma would sacrifice themselves, their nearest dear ones and stay silent when abusers harass them, because it is somehow 'expected' of them.
I agree with Lakshman and Bharat - everyone (except that nuisance - part 2) understands her and she need not prove herself. Why should Sita prove herself to this fellow ignoring everyone else who stood up for her? Does she not value their opinions? Is proving herself to evil so important that she would give up everything for his satisfaction? What exactly is she proving by doing this? That she doesn't care about her family and will take the word of a bully more than her loved ones? Again, it's a terribly wrong message.
The actors were phenomenal, no doubt and the possessed guy managed to infuriate us all, so kudos, but it's just not Ramayan. Let the show makers create an original story and put all these in, it would be great but please not in Ramayan.
