DANDIYA NIGHT 26.9
It was time that Anokhi was told some home truths about how to behave with Shaurya. Aastha was correct to tell her she had no right whatsoever to talk to Shaurya and also she cannot force her views on somebody. every individual has the right of choice and their own perspective. Here we could see Aastha the prof.
Shaurya could not believe that the person who never cared for him was fighting for him.
Anokhi is made to realise she can not fight for the right for anybody.
Anokhi in response to aastha, talked in such a way making it look like Aastha was favouring Shaurya because of her mother son relationship and thus excusing shaurya for his mistake. Her mentioning that she agrees she is only a student of both of them and her conversation was more like a reproach to aastha.
Well Anokhi was thinking she is doing the right thing has encroached on the personal space of the Sabherwals, and she was put on her place by Aastha.
I liked the way Aastha realise she may have hurt Anokhi's feelings but Anokhi needed to be told to keep to herself and not force Shaurya or anybody else into doing anything against their will, such as asking aastha for a pardon.
BM and Alok have realised that Anokhi is a bigger threat to them losing Shaurya than Aastha hence Alok put in mission Anokhi bhagawo.
Anokhi and Babli and the domestic violence scene perfectly depicts the situation of helpless women at the mercy of their in laws due to their economic dependence on the latter, hence the need to empower women so they do not fall in these traps. I can understand Anokhi's need to have the best education so she can take care of her mother and sister who are victims of domestic violence.
Shaurya in pink and then the song:
Woh jo tha khwab saa
Kya kahein jaane dein…
Yeh jo hai kam se kam
Yeh rahe ke jaane dein…
Kyun na rok kar khudko
Ek mashwara kar lein
Magar jaane de…
Aadatan toh sochenge
Hota yun toh kya hota
Magar jaane de…
Tells us a lot about shaurya's frame of mind and the effect of Anokhi's words on him. when questioned about his relationship with Anokhi he could not even say his student! So what is it?
Annnd, catching up on the weekend with saakk...
I loved how Aastha tried to show Anokhi where she was going wrong. It is not right to push your thinking onto others. Surprisingly for a girl who fights the same though when it comes to her parents, she could not understand it and continued to defend her mistake. When Aastha asked her 'kis haq se...', is when I realized Aastha has no clue how far shakhi have breached the student-professor boundary and 'ussi haq se...' but no one knows except shakhi but they dont understand.
Anokhi's accusation that Aastha falls weak in front of her son seemed so off. She always calls her son out, she always maintains a distance...calling her weak is whitewashing her. For once shastha took some blame for Shaurya being who he is and defended him infront of anokhi. The shastha conversation in the room felt so melancholic...like they were dead long ago, just yet to be buried and yet they are resilient.Them discussion about how different they were takes me back to shakhi and how different they are and one day soon, they will have the same discussion.
Shaurya was shocked to see Aastha for once fight for him/ defend him and yet he just walked away, wiping his tears only when he had turned away from his parents. He again lied to his badi maa and just wanted space because that girl was in his head reminding him or his error. I think Shaurya wanted to apologize but the hurt child in him just could not because somewhere he felt that his hurt of 25 years was deeper than the hurt he had caused Aastha.
Anokhi has returned to the house and all babli can think about is her. I love these sisters and their bond. I admire that Anokhi stood fearlessly in front of Vineet and called him out on his BS! Vineet could have harmed her but she did not care. the way vineet locked babli in and threw anokhi out, made me realize he just thinks of women as furniture. It boils my bolld but i also know there are a lot of Vineet;s out there and showing them as like the a**h*** they are and in a negative light is important.
For all the scheming Devi and alok do, nothing ever works out...this is just fokat ka screentime :(
I loved the shaurya's self reflection while gettig dressed. He was going over the previous day and all his emotions. Shaurya has understoon that something has shifted maybe? The song in the BG here, has my heart. It tells us that Shaura's subconscious has a decision to make.
wo jo tha khwaab saa
kya kahein jaane dein...
ye jo hai kam se kam
ye rahe ke jaane dein...
kyun na rok kar khud ko
ek mashwara kar lein
magar jaane dein...
aadatan to sochenge
hota yoon to kya hota
magar jaane dein...
Side Note 1 : IDK, but shauray looked hot in that dressing up sequence. Why did he look hot..i can't put my finger on that as of now? But something was very attractive about his physicality there...

This was the best part of the episode. That color suits him so much. Muze toh Shaurya se pyar ho gaya🤗
Miss Bhalla is tubelight😆
Filler episode!
Anokhi is preachy, but she has a sense of right and wrong and has the courage to stand up for it. She isn't just outspoken with Shaurya, she does the same with Aastha. Aastha does point out that everyone has their own perceptions and judgement of what is right and wrong. Shaurya was flabbergasted that his mother was actually in his corner and defending his actions to his replacement. Anokhi was taken back that her good intentions to fight for her ma'am was misconstrued. Aastha didn't want the coerced 'sorry'. This comes back later when Anokhi asks Shaurya to reconcile with Aastha and his first try is disingenuous. Aastha says that she's strong enough to fight for her haq. Anokhi has the most savage of replies "Apne bete ke ilawa sabse....". Hitting the nail on the head! Aastha is outspoken and fights with everyone, but falls weak in front of her son. I don't appreciate that Anokhi is insistent that Shaurya is wrong without giving any concession to the "why" behind it all.
Anokhi is straightforward and gutsy and will stand up against a bully. It was beautiful to see the concern the Bhalla sisters have for each other. Anokhi has no way to back up her bold words, but she is fearless when she stands up to Vineet. Anokhi is not Babli. She won't let anything wrong to happen in her presence without standing up for it. Nikki, call the police on Vineet!!! Move into Shaan's flat with her Aastha ma'am! I really hate that Vineet didn't get proper punishment for his crimes.
At night, Shaurya is troubled by Anokhi's words about Aastha and ALMOST called her. In the morning, he is plagued by Anokhi's thoughts, and calls to check up on her. He doesn't have a good answer for "Aap kaun hai unke?". Who is he to Anokhi now? Why does he care so much? I loved the way 'Jaane De" was played over his memories of riots and Anokhi.
Woh jo tha, khwaab sa, kya kahe jaane de
Ye jo hai kam se kam, ye rahe ke jaane de
Kyun na rok kar khud ko, ek mashwara kar le, magar jaane de
Aadatein to sochenge, hota yoon to kya hota, magar jaane de
The lyrics capture the circuitous inner thoughts of Shaurya so well.
Side notes:
~ Shastha deserved an organic reunion. I want to know what zabardasti caused their separation?
~ Devi and Alok are onto their next plan. They both understand that Anokhi is more a danger to them than Aastha is.
My aim is to be caught up this weekend with all the episodes! *Fingers crossed*

I loved the use of the song as well in this episode and glimpse we get of his frame of mind. These episodes going forward gives us a glimpse of what is going on with Shaurya. We lose that with Anokhi which makes it hard to truly empathize with her.
Anokhi's reproach of Aastha kind of made me laugh because she sounded like the petulant child who rejects someone before they can be rejected. It's such a Shaurya tactic that I didn't expect from Anokhi. She didn't like seeing Shaurya being favored over her. Imagine how Shaurya has been feeling seeing Anokhi favored over him for so long!
Your point about Anokhi's drive is so spot on. Her education is a means to an end and so unselfish. She wants the financial independence to save the women.

Me toooo. My aim is to somehow get to episode 72 before Monday. I hope my reviews don't get compromised in the process!!
Soooooooo true. It's not just that Anokhi feels she has the right to defend her Aastha ma'am, it's that she feels she has the haq to tell Shaurya what is right and wrong and actually convince him. They're in no man's land in their relationship. A no-name relationship.
I'm going to disagree here. She does put Shaurya in his place, but she really does hold back in severity. She even asked Anokhi to play a bridge between them, even though its within Aastha's personality to directly confront. You mentioned how her accident must have made her mortality more real to her in an earlier review. I think that's the reason why Aastha has let Shaurya talk back to her in the hospital room as well as at the post-birthday party. She falls weak because of her love for her son.
Yes to the Shakhi and Shastha comparison. I had the same thought. ShaKhi had that same conversation post-confession. It seemed like ShaKhi was built to follow the same path.....but Shakhi was not as weak as Shastha.
I was amused that he had Aastha's number.
I hate that Vineet didn't get the punishment he deserved. I also hate mothers like Mrs. Bhatia who defend their sons and fathers like Mr. Bhatia that remain silent.
For all the scheming Devi and alok do, nothing ever works out...this is just fokat ka screentime :(
Classic ITV. The villains plan, the heroes foil!
I loved the shaurya's self reflection while gettig dressed. He was going over the previous day and all his emotions. Shaurya has understoon that something has shifted maybe? The song in the BG here, has my heart. It tells us that Shaura's subconscious has a decision to make.

Side Note 1 : IDK, but shauray looked hot in that dressing up sequence. Why did he look hot..i can't put my finger on that as of now? But something was very attractive about his physicality there...
I have no answer for you here!😆 KV's not my type.
Anokhi’s speech to Ss is stopped by Astha. It is good that she stopped her but The main question that remains is why Astha reacted that way? Is it the outburst on his birthday that she realised the depth of his hurt and aware that no speech is going to change him easily now? Or does she want Anokhi not to mess up ?
A few points where I completely agree with Shaan and Astha.., ss is carried away by his emotions and is not a bad person by heart and Astha realises that it was their responsibility that he is such a person now.
It is so unfortunate that Shaan still holds on to a family where he and Astha are belittled and have no importance at all. The way Alok spoke to Shaan made me cringe. The concern is so artificial. I doubt if Alok can love anyone.. including his own children.
Astha and Shaan’s conversation looked like a mini replica of Ss and Anokhi’s conversation on confession day. Of course they did not dig any deeper like Ss A did. as Astha stopped it knowing there was no point of it now. Ss is just emotional in love like Shaan but strong like Astha in some aspects.
BM has pointed it right when she said that Alok is if no use but it was he who rightly pointed out that absence of Astha in Shaan’s life isn’t as bad as Anokhi’s presence in Shaurya’s. Anokhi May be wrong In her ways of interfering into Ss’s life but Alok was clever enough to realise that this could shake off all the fake layers of hatred they have shielded him in.
Anokhi‘s words keep screaming in his head and it takes away all his peace. If not for Anokhi’s repeated interference he wouldn’t have thought about Asha so much as BM would’ve successfully erased his guilt by her anti Astha speech. Though it gets annoying to see Anokhi preach, she did a major job without realising.
Anokhi, though younger, standing strong for her sister is commendable and the way she replies back to Her jiju and mil is savage.
I’m completely convinced that he is fallen for Anokhi.., it’s definitely not his concern for a student..he doesn’t realise it though. ‘Aap kaun hain Unke’ why did he have to think so much before trying to answer?

Ditto on a lot of thoughts!!
I was glad to see Aastha have the awareness that Shaurya is the child they created from their abandonment and neglect. I also saw that Shastha/Shakhi parallel. They love each other but are very different from each other. Anokhi realized it too, which is why walking away from Shaurya had to be done. Thankfully Shaurya is not Shaan and doesn’t believe in not taking action and letting your love walk away.
As for Anokhi preaching, it’s so frustrating but Shaurya needed that. He needed someone to persistently put ideas that combat the ideas Devi brainwashed him with.
