Today was Tej's and shaan's day!

Honestly, the start was weird for me. I honestly think the entire Shakhi conversation about the students should have taken place in closed room. It was a class not a market and they were throwing accusations at each other. It was very OFF! And she definitely did not speak to him like a professor 🤣

Shaurya was biased , very evidently. His bias stems from the love of his family but he was not a "professor" today. Felt bad that he had such faith in his sisters but again, did he not have a slight doubt on them last night? Or was that just to scare them? Bringing aastha and taking a dig at Anokhi, was WRONG! Bring back all the incidents from before just to justify the false Saberwal pride? This is the bad in Shaurya! Also, Anokhi seriously does not know how to talk to a prof!

Bebo, Kitty and Anmol, I CANT. Lying through their teeth!

The canteen scene was important because what shaurya told anokhi was quite practical. That is how the world works! Proof has to be submitted.

The entire committee meeting was quite well done. For once Tej was wise ? and behaved like a proper director? Another point was right that molestation cannot just be accepted and requires some proof and rightfully so. The difference is how you treat the victim and the same was showcased here, Tej/Alok did not believe her! It was evident! But I liked that tej questioned bebo when she said anokhi wanted to tarnish the reputation of the college (her face!!!). I think betty are used to getting away with everything without a question and hence were ill prepared. Also, i dont think they understood the extent of their crime. Their efforts to twist the situation make me so angry! and then Reema comes through with her truth!

Anokhi was frantic, crossing boundaries to prove herself right. Maybe because she has always fought in a mans world. But her some of it was not necessary. She has to fight, she has to learn the smart way to fight. Also, some dialogues were quite random with her today! (WRITERS?!?!!?!?!)

Shaurya, dwindling between believing his brain and his family. His biggest enemy today was the fact that he was judging anokhi throught aastha's lens.

Shaan shined today! So balanced, so smart and raising voice at the right moment. pointing out the facts! Infact controlling shaurya from making more mistakes. Where was this shaan when shaurya needed a father?

As i keep saying, Tej does not care unless something affects his ego and hence the verdict was a "WARNING"... and so accordingly anokhi's threat to go to the media/cops was 100% apt. After all, this college has always singled her out!

Side Note 1 : The shakhi scene, was small but apt. It was a conversation where both were right and wrong. Loved the gesture of the dupatta.

Side Note 2: Shaurya called out anmol on personal allegations when he just laid them on anokhi like 5 mins ago? 🤣By god..Mr. Saberwaal!

Side Note 3: Shaurya's expression on anokhi's threat. WOW! Shaurya hates being threatened or cornered!

First of all what was all this court type scene in the classroom. OK Anokgi needed to identify the students who did the ragging, but then Shaurya should not have made a spectacle of it. First he refuses to accept the twins could do this because they are his sisters (the SABHERWALS) and his reasoning is they would not do anything that would mar the reputation of SIAC.

Then he starts telling off Anokhi for sleeping in the library and tricking her entry in SIAC.

That was uncalled for. Is this the way you treat a girl whom he himself saw on the eve all locked up, shell shocked with all her stuff in the bin.

On top of that during the meeting he dares to say that ragging could have happened but allegations of harassment is a serious matter and can not be acted upon unless there is proof.

Now where is the logic for a girl to get proof in such situations. Is she supposed to be recording the event when it is happening. Does a girl require to show some physical signs to be heard?

I am really pi***** off with Shaurya behaviour towards Anokhi.

After telling her off in the classroom he comes to the canteen and asks her not to go about telling her story to all sundry. What is Anokhi supposed to do, sit and cry?

Ok he helped collect her stuff and as usual was looking very hot, but his actions made me really angry.

Tej took Bebo by surprise by asking her what proof she has that Anokhi is trying to harm the reputation of SIAC. That was the only good thing he did and then reverted to type by giving a warning. Where did all the rules go when Reema and Maya confirmed the ragging?

Shaan recognised that there was a need for a proper investigation and also noticed that Shaurya is venting out his Aastha anger on Anokhi.

Now Anokhi did everything right except AGAIN mentioning her teacher in front of Shaurya, knowing full well what an a*** he turns into...

Today I wanted to rage at Shaurya....

You doubt your child that’s fine but when others point out at your child that’s something not acceptable for most of the parents. This is how exactly Ss behaved when Anokhi pointed out the students involved. Though he had his doubts he wasn’t able to believe when it came from Anokhi. Anokhi’s remark that he was siding with his sisters was answered back with his reputation of being rightful and that she was in a shock to correctly recognise. How does he know that his sisters wouldn’t let anything go wrong with any girl in their presence? Any testimony? How was he so sure? Is it a direct result of what all he’s been fed about Sabherwal daughters just like he was about Astha? What was the use of questioning Anokhi about her lowly opinion about the institution and professors incompetence when he didn’t want to believe? Or was it just him guarding himself from Anokhis doubts of siding with his sisters? Anmol you will be badly caught in your own web of lies. He says that he wouldn’t even like to befriend a villager like her. May be they have temporary memory loss where, in front of the committee they lie that they were trying to befriend Anokhi.

Shaurya didn’t want Anokhi to mess up her relations with other students because of this fight. He was right in the sense that she is new and needs to yet make friends and messing up can tarnish her image. But looking from her point of view she was just proven wrong because even Reema who was friendly with Anokhi didn’t dare to speak up. How can Anokhi prove herself if no one speaks up in support of her as she knows she has no other proof( wounds, marks etc). Awwww… the way he rushes to help her when he sees Anokhi tumble baffles Anokhi as his strict demeanour seems to be replaced with an all concerning expression.

Tej… most of the times he speaks why do I feel he is righteous? Is it only me? If Anokhi wasn’t Astha’s student would we have had the chance to see the evil side of BM and bp? He mentions about the institution’s strict policy against ragging and needs proof and it’s for both the parties, not just Anokhi which is good. However after getting proof from Reema why did he just leave them with a warning? Anmol is in for serious trouble as he contradicted his own statement and Ss is shrewd enough to catch him later. Anokhi is a tough nut to crack when it comes to injustice meted out to her and the Sabherwals become all aware especially Shaurya.

This felt like a classic case of victim blaming and social privilege.

As soon as Shaurya saw that his sisters were being named as culprits, he became defensive. Throw in Aastha's name and he starts blaming Anokhi for her own predicament. Their fight in front of the other students was childish and out of line. He rewrote history when he accused Anokhi of staying in the library illegally, as if Shaan didn't give her permission. He also accused her of badmouthing him based on his sister's words....wonder why her opinion of him matters.😉

During the committee hearing, Anokhi tells her side of the story and Shaurya tells his side of the story. Tej asks for proof and his regressive mindset comes out in "ek ladki ke kehne se kuch sabhit nahi ho jaata". I loved how Shaan reminded him that courts put weight on a girl's testimony. The twins try to twist everything by accusing Anokhi of falling asleep in the room and the watchmen locking it without checking. At this point they should have called the watchman, but Tej is not willing to concede any control. Alok tried to acknowledge the ragging but pointing out that there's no proof of who the culprits are. Cue Reema coming into testify what she witnessed. And of course the VIP students, Tej and Alok spin it as hasi-mazaak, instead of ragging and Tej punishes them with a warning. Tej had started the meeting acting impartial and promising strict action since ragging is a crime and backpedaled so fast when the criminals were his nieces and 400cr ki Anmol! I'm glad Anokhi threatened them with the police and press!

The entire enquiry was dumb. There was no investigation, just testimonies, and no witnesses were called. Also no one tried corroborating the story outside of the economics class. There was also a conflict of interest when two of the offenders are Sabherwals and 2/3 of the committee are Sabherwals. At least for optics sake, recuse yourself!

Side note:

~ Shaurya made a comment about accusations needing evidence, which I felt foreshadowed a possible false allegation against him in the future. It might have happened if not for the show ending and them choosing to show Alok as a harasser instead.

~ I felt so bad for Anokhi when she was begging for insaaf and had to keep repeating the story of Anmol trying to kiss her and touching her. After such trauma, Shaurya had the audacity to ask why she didn't do anything if something so bad happened to her. I'm disgusted by the entitlement that men show when they use such words.

~ Anokhi was belittled for being a pindu by the students. Shaurya tried to prevent her from telling her story to the other students. Alok tried to insinuate that small town girls try to trap rich city boys. Their mentalities are wreaking with so much privilege.

This made me curious too. He should be well adjusted to the fact now that some students might not like him and so what? but him bringing that up felt petty as well as welcoming (that someone got on his nerves)

I loved Shaan here. Its like he is alive again! I loved how the enquiry started though, it had promise so i lived the scene overall. Shaurya seemed over involved and honestly more biased than Tej! He has no lid on his emotions. Obviously to justify the purpose of the inquiry they had to give out a verdict. But somehow i liked the whole sceme

The "ITV" sits in very well here. There should have been an external committee involved here ideally

Side note:

~ Shaurya made a comment about accusations needing evidence, which I felt foreshadowed a possible false allegation against him in the future. It might have happened if not for the show ending and them choosing to show Alok as a harasser instead. True! I am not sure but i think OG had a track like this, where ML was accused.

Shaurya was so horrible in this episode but THIS is what women get asked. We try to always pin the fault on women!

~ Anokhi was belittled for being a pindu by the students. Shaurya tried to prevent her from telling her story to the other students. Alok tried to insinuate that small town girls try to trap rich city boys. Their mentalities are wreaking with so much privilege. Exactly! but in the canteen when he stopped her, I dont think ther was any malice, I think it was more of that dont scream and shout because these people are only going to make a spectacle of it. Which made sense. Classroom was another ball game, he accused her and then stopped Anmol from saying something harsh to her? WHAT EVEN?!?!!?

In black. So caught up this week..have to complete other reviews also.
