Chapter 10
On Tuesday after tuition class
Shaurya with a teasing tone asked "So are you prepared for the presentation Anokhi??"
She looked at him with a shocked expression "What? Today? But didn't we decide to do it on Wednesday sir?"
Shaurya smiled seeing her face "Yes yes I am asking for tomorrow only. Are you prepared?"
Anokhi sighed in relief and replied with a low tone "Ya I am trying."
She mumbled slowly with an irritating look "You won't stop pestering me without the presentation, what other option do I have??"
Shaurya heard her murmuring and smirked a little and with a questioning tone asked "Kuch kaha tumne??" (Did you say something Anokhi??)
With dreadful expression "Nai kuch nahin." (Nnnooo...nothing!)
'Oops abhi phas jaati...munh band rakh apna Anu' she scolded herself in her mind.
Shaurya of course noticed her irritated expressions and smiled victoriously!!
On Wednesday Anokhi called Shaurya and asked him to first promise that after she gives him the presentation he will not ask her to do it in the fair...it is only for just in case.
Shaurya shook his head thinking 'Oh God what am I supposed to do with this stubborn girl.'
Then with an exhausting tone 'Ok fine, now can I hear it please."
Finally that moment came... Anokhi was super nervous about the presentation. Before starting the presentation she prayed to god. "Please help me Mata Rani." After a deep breath in and out she started the presentation.
Anokhi started cautiously with a nervous tone. But little by little her nervousness disappeared and she gave the full presentation to Shaurya.
Shaurya happily "See you can do it, itne ache se presentation di...patani kyun itna darr rahi thi?? Bas aise hi wahan fair mein bhi dena sabko bahut achi lagegi." (You gave such a good presentation. I don't know why you were so scared. Now just like this, do it in the fair too, everyone will like it.)
Anokhi with a shocking expression "What? Why? But...but you promised me, this is cheating. I will not be able to do it. Just because you were on the phone I could do it, otherwise I can not." Anokhi panicked.
Shaurya with a grin "Ok ok, don't panic, I was talking about just in case only. Ok forget it. Tell me, are you and Meenu going to run your project on the school computer for everyone tomorrow??"
"Hmmm"
"Is it running properly at home?" He curiously asked.
Anokhi with a confident tone "Yes of course. As much as we tried it was working well."
"Ok then copy it onto a floppy disk and bring it to school. We will do a test run." Shaurya instructed.
"Sure Sir! I'll bring it." Anokhi replied in a normal confident tone, her earlier predicament about presentation forgotten.
"Ok so now what will you do, homework?" Not wanting to hang up just yet, Shaurya casually asked.
"No no, I'm already done with the homework. Now I'll go to the Boutique to bring Mumma."
"To bring her?" Shaurya surprisingly asked.
"Ya she gets so busy in work that she forgets what the time is, I always go and bring her forcefully, else if it was up to her she will work all night." She said fondly.
"Ohh ok. Then go ahead and we will talk tomorrow, you give me the presentation again."
"What? Why again?" Anokhi asked, annoyed. "Didn't you just say that I did well, then why again?"
'Oh God, this girl.' Shaurya shook his head. "Anokhi... Presentation again for Practice!"
"No no not required, I don't need practice. I will not call tomorrow." Anokhi huffed in annoyance.
Shaurya smiled and said "Ok you need to leave right? Right now you go, we'll talk later."
After hanging up the phone Shaurya was thinking about Anokhi and smiling to himself 'She is so nice, loving and caring. Always so concerned about her mother, she cares so much about her.'
Over the next week or so they talked a few times, sometimes she called him and other times he did!
They both had gotten very comfortable talking to each other now and the days they didn't talk they missed each other, even though they always discussed the presentation and the zodiac sign project she was working on with Meenu and nothing special but they still just enjoyed this exclusive time with each other!
As the zodiac sign program was in testing mode now, they encountered a few problems so she used to ask him about those problems as well!! Basically it was an excuse to talk from her side. But they both enjoyed each other's company just as much.
One day after talking to Anokhi he was busy thinking about something when his sister in law (Bhabhi) came and said "Oh you are done with your phone call."
"Yes, it took some time, did you need something?" He asked.
"No nothing. Just checking, don't you want coffee today?"
"No, not yet Bhabhi. Vipul is coming so I'll drink it together with him only."
After some time Vipul arrived and while talking to Shaurya, he noticed that Shaurya was a bit lost in his own thoughts.
He curiously asked "What's up with man, where are you lost? In fact, not just today, when I was here last week, first you were busy on the phone and afterwards lost in yourself. What's going on?"
Shaurya tried to cover up "Nothing like that, nothing is going on man."
"Hiding things from me now, I see. You do realize that you are behaving exactly like I used to in college when I had met Dipika. Have you found someone, tell me the truth." Vipul teased.
Shaurya got a bit surprised but for now said to him "Nothing like that yaar, haven't found anyone. When I do, you will be the first to know ok! Now tell me, how's everyone at home? Uncle, Aunty, Bhabhi??" Effectively changing the topic.
"Everyone is fine at home. But you tell me what you are hiding?? Something is different with you, tell me?" Vipul insisted.
Shaurya trying to convince him said "Yaar nothing like that, quit pestering me. Anyway, tell me what you will have, tea or coffee?"
In the meantime Shaurya's Bhabhi also came and asked what Vipul will have??
"I'll take coffee, Bhabhi."
Soon they had coffee and Vipul left for home!
After Vipul left, Shaurya kept thinking about what he said.
'Am I really behaving differently?? That too because of HER? No, that's not true! That can't be true...it's not possible...no this can never happen, she is my student.'
All night he couldn't sleep and kept searching for answers. After a lot of thinking, he came to the conclusion that without realizing he had fallen for her and since nothing can ever happen between them he decided to stay away from her as much as possible from now on!
For the next couple of days he didn't talk to her much or looked at her or smiled at her. He just kept the interaction with her to a bare minimum. He avoided her as much as he could.
Anokhi felt confused with his behavior. 'I wonder what happened to him suddenly?? He is behaving so strangely. I feel like he is mad at me or he is ignoring me for some reason. How can I find out what the matter is?? Did I do something?? Should I ask him?? He might get madder if I ask. What should I do?'
Shaurya wasn’t having it much easier either. It was very difficult for him to behave so aloof with her. 'I feel very bad doing this to her and I can see questions on her face about my behavior, but I think this is the right thing to do because what my heart wants can never happen, she can never be mine so what I'm doing is the right thing to do. Please GOD help me...give me strength to follow this through.' He was feeling completely restless and torn between his heart and his mind.
They both had so many questions in their minds but no answers.
Shaurya anxiously thought 'Next week we have to go to the science fair...what will I do there? We will be together for 4 whole days...how will I manage not to talk to her? What will I do?? I am going there with them to represent their model only and will have to sit with them most of the time...what will I do then??'
He was full on panicking now 'I have to do something...I have to find a way to stay away from her.' He thought for some more time and came up with a solution.
Shaurya to himself 'Yes I will do this...this is the best way to stay away from her, I will ask her to leave the project...this way she will not come to the fair with me, since i can't say NO to going to the fair, I'll have to make her not go.'
But then his thoughts halted for a moment thinking 'What will I say to her?? How will I ask her to leave the project which she made and even prepared the presentation for, that too on my insistence.' He felt really sad.
'I don't know how, but I have to do this, there is no other way! I have to come up with a reason to give to her so she leaves the project...I have to come up with something tonight only and tell her tomorrow."
That entire night he couldn't sleep. Something was pinching him in his heart. He was having many thoughts. Her innocent face was haunting him the entire night. His confused mind was not sure what to do.
Finally he came to a decision...he was upset with his own decision but thinking it's the right thing to do he decided to do it. His guilt was killing him from inside, but he realized that he can't be near her for that many days... he will not be able to hide his feelings for her.
Next morning he woke up, got ready and prayed.'Please God give me strength and courage to do what I have decided. It's going to be very difficult for me. I need your help. Please show me the right path, just as you have always done.'
With a heavy heart and determination to do what he had decided he left on his scooter for school. The whole way he prayed silently to GOD to help him by showing the right path and strength to do what he had decided.

Also Anokhi is so scared of presentations that's the only thing on her head everyday? I would go mad if I were her. She's behaving as if she's been taken to hang 🤣🤣🤣 Cute hai but irritating bhi 🤪😆
Anyway, I think Shaurya himself might back off because A - Anokhi's contribution to the project is important rather than him avoiding her, B - Shaurya is behaving rather stupidly 🤣 & C - He needs to understand the girl has no inkling that he has 'that' kinda feelings for her 🤣🤣

Love how the story is progressing. Shaurya is such a adorable goofball. 😍Really liked the way he is helping Anokhi overcome her fear and Anokhi getting irritated by his pestering. 😂 Shaurya Sabherwal is goals. Such a boyfriend material. Ohh, scratch that , husband material🥰 but we have to wait for that.😂
Finally, Shaurya realised his feelings for her. I guess, he is somewhat justified for running away from his feelings. He is her teacher and an adult but I just hope he is not going to do something stupid 😅
