PART 5

She had to do something immediately. She couldn't just sit back and be a silent spectator to all the events happening. She was young but not immature. She clearly understood the consequences, the ceremony would have today. Unfortunately, it was too late to explain the situation to anybody. Peeya Shastri had gone to keep a box of sweets at the Sareen house, when she overheard the dreadful plan of Minty Sareen from the corner of the door, careful to save herself from the eagle eye of that dangerous lady. She never liked Minty aunty a lot, but what she was doing now was terrible. She was attempting to destroy the lives of two of her dear sisters and humiliate her family. Peeya could clearly understand the repercussions of this. Her family would never be able to overcome this frightful incident. She wanted to run and explain the situation to everybody...but alas she had no time...and who would actually seriously lend her an ear. Anushka seemed to be too engrossed in the preparations...Peeya's heart felt heavy when she realised what a huge sacrifice she was going to make. Devyani was in her own fantasy land, and to bring her out of this land would be committing a culpable homicide. She wanted to go and speak to Rajat...luck ran out on her. She realised that either way, her family would be the sufferer. In case Rajat declared his love for Anushka prior to the engagement...the whole family would have to face the society's humiliation and Devyani would crash...and incase Rajat (gentleman as he was)...went ahead with the enagament, three lives would be at stake. She had to stop this...she had to do something...but what and how? She had come upstairs to get Devyani's engagement ring. Suddenly an idea crossed her mind, she gave a sly smile. She knew this involved risk...but this was her only way out.

He moved towards Devyani dazed...as if walking on cotton wool. He didn't know what to do. He could not go ahead with the engagement, it would be cheating two people and their families. He would have to reveal the truth...but...what would be the aftermath? He shuddered to think about that. Someone called out Peeya's name to quickly get Devyani's ring, but he didn't bother to check out who it was. For a moment he turned at Anushka...her coldness explained everything. If only she would understand the emotional turmoil he was facing. He blamed himself for not checking out the facts correctly before the ceremony. Being an Air-Force officer he had always been meticulous, but when this was required the most he failed. Every cell in his body wished that this was a bad dream and somebody would soon wake him up...and then somebody did wake him up.

There was a loud thud and a cry...people rushed towards the staircase. What happened? Rjat woke up from his slumber...Peeya Shastri had slipped and fallen sown the staircase, she injured her leg very badly and had hurt her forehead also, which was bleeding. She was semi-conscious. Shastri ji and her sisters were beside her calling out her name. She seemed confused and wasn't responding much. Anushka was crying inconsolably. She was her baby. It was immediately decided that Peeya should be taken to the hospital. She was the apple of the eye of the Shastri family. Devyani announced that the engagement needed to the postponed and everybody agreed to it. Peeya's life and well being was more important right now. It was an unprecedented emergency.

As she was being carried outside from the corner of her eyes Peeya glanced that Minty. She was visibly upset at the strange turn of events. Peeya knew that this would be painful...but she had taken precautions not to hurt herself more than required. She could tolerate any pain...and she knew this pain would be much less than compared to the pain of humiliation and rejection. Now she could buy some time...things would be fine now...definitely.

The colour of love for her sisters was white...pure and uncontaminated

That was fabulous what a twist I hop in real serial something of such twist should happen but I luv peeya nothing serious should happen

that was one awesome twist...god bless peeya for stopping this engagement and saving the family from a major disaster...
hope such things happen in the show too... this character needs to be utilised...it has such a potential...

PART 6

The doctors were examining Peeya, whilst her father and sisters stood in the corridor worried and flustered. She was in terrible pain, but kept reminding herself of the achievement. Her neurological examination was normal and the brain scan too was normal. The doctors gave her some pain-killers and she soon dozed off. Anushka stayed back in the hospital, while the others returned home.

She sat in the hospital corridor too numb and insensate...she couldn't describe what was going on within her. The rapid turn of events had left her absolutely stupefied. Her poor sister...was lying in the hospital bed nursing her injuries...and the engagement of the other sister was stalled. But wait ...somewhere deep down in her heart was she actually relieved that the engagement was stopped? How can she be so insensitive and self-centred...she blamed herself and felt guilty (she was so habituated to this) and buried that feeling deep down. She could do anything for her sisters...Anushka Shastri could not be so selfish. Poor girl, she failed to realise that she was behaving like any other girl of her age would. She too deserved happiness, and reciprocal love from Rajat...but due to her sense of responsibility...she shied away from this feeling.

I need not mention the colour of her love...do I?

Minty Sareen was at a loss...what would she do now? Due to that stupid Peeya her evil plans were destroyed. Whatever she had anticipated did not happen. There were no misunderstandings, no humiliation...nor any hatred. Infact, everybody was sympathetic towards the Shastri family for this accident . Rajat would actually get ample time to explain his situation and cancel his engagement with Devyani. Now there was no stopping him. She knew her son too well...he would achieve what he wanted. Her only hope now was Anushka...she prayed deep down in her heart that Anushka would refuse Rajat's proposal...keeping in view her principles.

Rajat was desperately waiting for Anushka to return from the hospital. He was disappointed when he saw everybody but she had returned. There was a formal exchange of words and Peeya's well being was enquired upon. The Shastri's were too tired and went off. Devyani gave a shy look at Rajat while going off. This was too much for Rajat...he needed to explain everything to Devyani...but before that he needed to speak to Anushka. She must know his feelings...she must know how much he loved her and cared for her. He must clarify the misunderstandings as soon as possible. He couldn't wait for long. He left home, got into the car...and drove towards the hospital...to confess his love

He went in search for his colour of love.
