Arshi...

Realized today this show is finally done.
Wasnt seeing it at all these days. ..

RIP...

At least one desire of the gang here came true...these two got happily married and started a happy family. Smrth will be content with the outcome...he got his wish

The biggest thing going for this show were:
- the first 100 odd epis courtesy SLB and his creative team
- the leads GR and JW
- the supporting cast...all of them actually...
- your thread on IF and the universe it created...where everyone was welcome to contribute and discuss
- the wonderful people who contributed on your thread...

The sum was larger than the parts...

Net net...it was a wonderful journey and I feel privileged to have taken this journey with the friends made on this thread

Thanks for providing the platform for all of us and consequently for the show itself.

Please take a well deserved bow...

And as Matt Damon says in Ocean's Thirteen "See you when I see you"

Everyone is busy saying byes n thank yous or summarizing the journey. But I wish we could discuss the final episode.
The twinkle in Saras's eyes when asked for his preference. - I saw that for the first time. And baby shower is that kind of a moment. Where everyone is happy and I was told that thats the only day a woman is really treated like a queen. So true.

Saras's zidd of not leaving Kumud. And Kumud screamed his name in pain. Said it all.

I can go on n on about the conversation they had in the hospital. So natural, realistic and beautiful. Kumud was worried but doc didnt seem to. And the way Saras distracted her and tried to lift her spirits was just amazing. And even in that pain, Kumud managed to frown at him. Mind-blowing. And they talked about a lot of things. How many they would want next time, what to name the baby, what he should pick for profession.

Saras was asked how they both picked the same name and he went on to give a lengthy definition of the name Sanskriti. Wrong dialogues. Arre, sawal sun kar jawab dena hai na.

Danny's dialogues were right on the money. But when he said that the baby cried agreeing to her dad, there was a little disconnect although it was meant to tease Saras.

Baby was born at 7 months. Should be a premie? That apart, the whole scene was very realistic. That was a big surprise.

Picture was taken. But there was no proper ending. No music.

Agree on all your points. Even I found Saras's answer all wrong. But then before that question itself Dugba says 'Kyon ki aap dono ke dil ek hai' when VC says 'are way ek hi naan' or something like that. Still Saras should have given a better answer.

When Danny said that the baby cried agreeing to her Dad, even I thought 'kya lab'. but when i watched the episode again I saw that both are anxiously waiting for the baby to cry and then Saras says 'beta' and then she cries.

Loved the part where Kumud panics looking at blood and Saras immediately distracts with baby names and all.

Ending was kind of abrupt.

Thank you. Saw that piece again. Saras says beta very feebly and she cries before he finishes. Not great editing. But saw the connection.

@gul kumud saying she won't reveal whom she'll love more was really a beautiful moment. Saras's smile was hidden behind the mask n that was cute too.
There could have been many such intense n passionate moments every other day but CVs didn't focus on that. Atleast we got that scene in the last episode.

I've just got this to say -

They came...
They conquered our hearts on the first sight..
They made us go through all kinds of emotions that's possible for a human..
They took us into a journey which lasted for over a year..
They , unfortunately , were made to reach a dead end..
They left us at the dead end and left..
They advised us to travel back the long road all alone..
We had to bid them Adieu.. And so did we..

They shall not be forgotten..
The Eternal Couple shall always remain in our hearts..

-With love, Pruthvi.

Some additional comments on the episode itself..

- I liked the fact that Saras didn't leave her during godh bharai, and she yelled out his name first when in pain
- I loved loved Kumud's tease of "what if you steal my baby name'...
- While Saras' dialogue was not in the conversational flow, I did like the fact that he said our Sanskriti teaches us goodness...SC has been a show in which tradition and faith is an important part.
- I liked Dugba's statement that Sanskriti is the first in the next generation...Made me wonder how many more pota-pothis/natha-nathis they would have

Hey guys, how have you all been?...
So SC ended?! NO. Like its source, the creative energy that evolved in its initial phase shall live in indelible impressions it etched on its viewers. The providers being talents of such caliber; Conceiver- SLB, Director- AB, Creative writers; UN and Saba Mumtaz (?) and of course 'The Conduit' of all this creativity- GR and JW. ...Add again, fortuitous presence of exceptional sense of topical music- SLB. And then, GMT's saga has to come alive once again to tug the senses of its recipients. It does not matter whether it scaled the commercial pinnacles. It delivered sincere creativity- 'affecting us'- as Ivy would say- and that's what counts- IMO... Of course, all these pertain to about first 50 episodes in particular and sporadic flashes there after- until Sindur Shower witnessed by Manchatur. After which it went so downhill, I was forced to abandon the watch. So I don't know anything nor I can pass any comment on the phase thereafter...

Though i had consciously kept away from the SC forum (for the fear of CB's commanding power that was keeping me trucked to a sorry watch of a show- that once 'was'), i had been somewhat active in another unexpected corner of IF! I was busy defragging myths and fake glory of a false hero in a presumptuous projection of our Epic. The distorted adaption of which would have pushed even that fake hero into an embarrassing silence. But not the glazed fans! And thus earning their wrath!
A news item on our folding soaps filled me in about SC's end and here I am. Bear with me for once.😊
