Part 10:Kumud removed his hand from her shoulders and went to Sunny's room. Saras was standing like a statue there. He could not digest the fact that she loves Sunny, the fact that Sunny had a brother, he could not think properly. His headache increased.
Kabir left Sunny's room when Kumud came. Before going, he winked at his brother who gave him a smile in return.
"Sunny, I'm sorry." Kumud was standing on the side of the bed.
"Hey, why are you sorry for? Come and sit." he patted on the empty spot near him.
She sat near him," It's only because of me that you are in this state." tears were flowing from her eyes, not out of guilt, but because of what she said to Saras.
Sunny squeezed her hand,"Don't blame yourself,"
"I love you." she said, it was totally unexpected.
Sunny was happy, his plan had work or their plan,"Kumud, did I hear it right?"
She only nodded.
"I love you too." He gave her a tight hug. She was disgusted with herself. She did not know why she was doing this.
When they came out of the hug, he wiped her tears and tried to kiss her but she stopped him,"Sunny Please,"
"Sorry"
"It's ok."
Anushka had witnessed the scene. She had clearly warned Kumud about Sunny and his intentions but she did t listen to her. Anushka decided to confront her.

"Kumud, why are you doing this?"
"What?"
"You know very well what I am talking about, you don't love Sunny, you love Saras, then why.."
"You have gone nuts, I love Sunny."
"Oh just shut up, I'm sure that some one has forced you to do this."
"What are you talking about?" she was stammering.
"Spill,"
"But.."
"For Saras's sake."
She had no other choice," Yes, I don't love Sunny, but I'm forced to do this...because..." she was weeping..
"Because of what?"
"Anushka, do you remember the mirror we found,"
"Yes, "
"Since, I opened it, strange things have started happening, I tried to hide it but it has gone overboard now, it is cursed, there...there...is...something...a...spirit...it...told me that if I get close with Saras, he would die..." she had sunk onto the ground and wept badly.
Anushka was shocked, could it be true?
Anushka walked towards Kumud and touched her shoulder," Why didn't you tell me before?"
"I could not." she whispered.

The village,
Kumud had to wear a ghagra like the last time, this time, she did not complain. Her hands were locked with Sunny's. Saras was behind with Danny who had noticed that Saras was disturbed.
Kabir lead them to the village chief's house, he was staying there.
"Kabir, why didn't we see you when we came here?"
"I was busy with some work."
They were given a warm welcome. They all appreciated the food and the chief insisted that they come back. Kumud asked the way to the washroom. Saras seized the opportunity and followed her.
She felt someone following her and she turned.
"What do you want?"
"Some answers." he held her hand and dragged her to a room. He locked the room and came towards her. She walked backwards until she touched the wall.
He said," You don't love him, you love me,"
She could not react. She looked down," You have some misunderstanding..."
"Ssshh..." he placed his finger on her lips and rubbed them sensuously, she felt weak at that moment.
He then moved his hand on her cheeks, he stroked her neck.
She realized what he was doing and pushed him away," Stop it!"
Before she could leave, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward him. He pinned her hand on her back and placed his other hand on her mouth to prevent her from shouting.
"Keep quiet! From now, I do all the talking."
She tried to move but he held her tighter.
" I know all about the spirit, her name is Kalika, I have done some research.."
"Kumud, the owner of the mansion's mistress was Kalika, she hated his wife, Sundari. Sundari loved Chandra, her father's best friend's son. Her father had some debts and he forced to marry his daughter to Pramad. Pramad never loved his wife, but he started falling for her slowly. Kalika was jealous, she made Chandra come to the mansion in Pramad's absence and when Pramad saw Sundari with Chandra, he misunderstood it and killed both of them. One day, he got to know that Kalika was responsible for all this, he killed her also and cursed her that her soul will never rest in peace, Kalika also said that she will never allow anyone to live happily here, She vowed to be love's enemy and from that day, she started haunting the mansion. Pramad left and confessed his crimes. Kalika's spirit got stronger with each passing day..."
Saras removed his hand from Kumud's mouth. She sat down and cried, the only thing she could do, Saras hugged her.
"Saras, I'm tired."
"I know,"
"But I can't risk your life..."
"Nothing will happen to me."
Here's the next part. I don't know if you will like it or not especially the mystery, at first I had thought of rebirth or something like that but it's too common so I changed it. I want to thank all of you for liking and commenting 😳, keep doing that and I'll be back soon with another part.😊
