I saw first half of the show, where kumud refuses to go with saras, and chose not to see the rest in disgust.
It as usual defies all logic as kumud must remember that she is a wife first and bahu later. Without saras there is no sasural and no in-laws.
Cv's once again want to show the heroine taking a high moral ground... even at the cost of living away from her husband and maternal home.
This greatness often obscures the line between right and wrong as relations are more important but ironically the most important one of a life partner gets crushed.
Probably the Cv's see it as an opportunity to show how the lead can sacrifice her life and love for betterment of others... something which is way beyond normal human beings.
