I haven't watched the episode yet so can't comment but did saw the promo where SVC was bathing for pooja, been to Dubai couple of times never saw a river or lake like that ! Lol must go there again !

Author made the male lead all ideal coz he felt the need to let the new Gen know about a guy firmly rooted in our values.

The first episode was good and the leads did well. The sets, the music was good too but my one gripe would be SC's step mom's acting. Many, if not all, Hindi TV villains overact and she was basically one of those. I liked SC's father's acting and have adored the guy since Punar Vivaah.

Gautam has become SC for me since the promos and he's very promising. As for Jenny as Kumud, she's doing a good job too but her character does seem like the standard issue TV heroine but I'm hoping in future episodes we get to see the complexities of her character. So far SC's character seems intriguing to me the most and I can't wait to see how things develop.

SC's character is good. But ideal is never realistic. I hope SLB dosnt make it ideal. His equation with his parents is something I look forward to. From what I know, Saras doesnt like his step-mother coz he thinks shes behind his dads money or something like that..

Kumuds character is good. Her equation with the family is also nice.. Like you pointed out, the leads equations with their families are opposite. Interesting.

Kumuds onscreen dad had played some role of a villain earlier! Scares me! Though his character is nice! Lol..

I like her sisters. The actors are good. Waiting for their characters to unfold!

I'm looking forward to his equation with his parents as well. I just hope that even if SC is heavy on his ideals, SLB shows us a real flawed imperfect character. From what I've seen so far of SC, and I know it's too early to say, but as a character, he seems like the most likely to be an engaging complex character compared to Kumud unless we get to see her character get fleshed out well. I sense SC has issues and I hope SLB's team does a good job of highlighting those things about SC's character. SC's mom is supposed to be a gray character and I don't know if I'm so invested in her character since the first episode showed her to be an almost out and out villain and not really gray. Hoping things get better.
