I can understand when Swathi says that DD was a bit OTT , too extravagant and too many songs, but if you overlook all the songs, it is a brilliant love story, in fact I feel it is an epic. He set his own standards so high, that he hasn't been able to come through the viewers expectations. It is a visual treat. Grand!

I think it would be too early to judge on the story and acting from the first epi...I wud give a whole wk to build the drama and acting might get mpressive later...never know😊

I like SLB larger than life style in filmmaking.. Will give him some time for small screen😉

Writers and directors can be given a lot of room to present a story and given artistic freedom to make believe situations under the name of fiction, as long as they can show consistency in what they are trying to show and say.

Sudha, I want something like DD. I still remember the last scene where Aish runs towards SRK, as he is slowly dying... the whole sequence of her running, her hair flying, the saree catches fire, the diya is fluttering in the wind ymbolic of DD breathing his last. Bas. Nothing can beat SLB when it comes to pathos. 😆 The man knows the pulse of the audience😉
