Deepz the MOD has so wonderfully encapsulated the rules conditions and code of conduct to be followed which were something we had always tried to adhere by in the Basherz Dori in the IPKKND forum so that is something we are all familiar with like the bread we eat and the coffee we drink so I don't think we should have any trouble crossing my fingers😊

Honestly I am a bit at sea since there is nothing to say till the serial is up and running for a few episodes so am going to do a FLW and say Humain Dekhna Hain first or in English watch wait and see

I so loved your direction of the French Opera Padmavathi and you are right when you said the French people understood your style

Now why am I writing this well., I just read a synopsis of the novel on which you are basing your magnum opus of a serial and truth be told I was most disinclined when I first heard that it was a feudalistic love story and regressive throwback at that but ended up reading anyway and now in retrospect feel even more disheartened and I do hope that you get what Indian viewers today want which is something fresh progressive whilst respecting ethos and traditions

I am glad you said the story will be an adaptation and subject to TRP whims and fancies It would be great if you could put a unorthodox modernistic spin to the tale ending it like say a Dev D or the 1939 American version of Hunchback of Notre Dame where both Esmeralda and Quasimodo did not die and it surprisingly did not affect the magnificence of the tale

It would be a travesty to whatever progress India has made on the social structure and an insult to today's women if a woman is condemned to lead a life of sack cloth and ashes and chastity because she is a widow and exactly what kind of message will go to the audience of Modern India that one should be damned to lead a puritanical life because one has lost a spouse I should really hope not and the distinct possibility of TRP hara-kiri is really high for that

I know you stuck to the traditional tragic ending in Devdas but this is a different kettle of fish TV and TRP audience who can make or break a show and channel So wishing you the best of luck and strength to craft a new vision and twist to this age old masterpiece and give it a fresh life with a new ending that is so reflective of 21^st century India

The only reason I will be watching this show is SLB. I became a huge fan of his after watching Khamoshi. Some of his films that came later on entertained me and some disappointed me big time.

What I am expecting from the serial.

We have good looking leads.
I have seem their work previously, and both are capable of doing a good job at emoting.
I know the summary of the story, which is tragic by nature, but am anticipating it to be not all Rona Dhona only.
Sets and production values are as usual going to be fabulous.
I hope SLB picks music which will please all of us like he is known to do.

What I do not want from this serial

Typical TV style dragging and TV style cliches.
Heroine keeps on getting humiliated
There is no balance between the male and female leads characterization, growth and treatment
The excess that is known as "SLB"
All actors being used to balance work and no one gets "tired"

What I want this Dori to be

A place where the old friends share their thoughts and make new friends.
For all of us who either want to praise or criticise, the story, cast, crew, characters, we get the space.
We have little bit of fun while doing the same.

What I do not want the Dori to be.

A place to mock other threads or TMs
A place to take out old grudges and replying to fanatics.
A place where we let criticism (which is usally called bashing) to turn into bashing (as the word is decribed in dictionay).

Looking forward to old friendships and new friendships and hoping the serial will entertain us all and we all can discuss it.
