it needs a plasma HD it was super the settings am still reserving judgment on the actors and script but the sets are magnificent you can see all the intricate carving details in that rustic scenes of kumud

But why would anyone watch a love story on TV if its all hunky dori.

I think as per the book he doesn't get married to her as there is a gap in communication, if I'm right.

As per my 'sources' (I've always wanted to say that 😆)

The fall in love by writing letters to each other.

But then Saras sends a letter one fine day saying he won't marry her.

So she marries someone else.

No sure if Saras marries her sister.

Acc to the story there is a family feud they split and he takes some sort of sanyaas and becomes a mendicant and she is forced to marry a much older chap

hmm ok guys dont kill me

but i did not like jenny as kumud

from the way the character has been sketched ..i expected a more pretty (not that jenny is not..but still ) and a young girl...

she would have done justice to kumud! also i feel that her dialogue delivery could have been better..like the way she had to unnecessary stress on few words during that pearl scene (which i agree with swathiji looks cliched...just like the diya scene in devdas)

monica bedi totally turned me off...her character is very good and requires a very strong actor to portray the jealous,dominating and control freak mother...SLB really needs to re-consider her role to leave an impact on viewers mind (atleast on mine, because i liked the character)
