PART 20
In the office, Gunni and Abhay were working on their case study and after having lunch, Abhay left for his meeting with some client whereas Gunni worked on the presentation.
Abhay: Gunni, main client se milkar baad main tumhe office main hi milta hoon. Waise bhi mom aur dad tumhare ghar janewale hain dinner par to we will just leave directly from here.
Gunni: Okay sure, main yeh bas presentation ka kaam khatam karloon. Just call me when you finish your meeting and I will meet you downstairs.
Abhay: Are kamaal ki baat hai, maine abhi tak tumhara contact number hi nahi liya.
Gunni: Oh haan main bhi kitni bewakoof hoon, my number is 9815207860.
Abhay: Okay got it, will call you. See ya!
On the other hand, Ragini was supervising Guddi in the kitchen preparing the menu for dinner and making sure everything is perfect. Anmol had told her that he will coming home shortly. Tammy and Khushi were in Sakshi's room as she was helping them with their homework. It was 6pm now and Anmol came home along with Alekh and Inderjeet. Ragini served them tea and Anmol later went upstairs to change.
Inderjeet: Ragini beta meri abhi Lalit bhai sahib se baat huyi hai, voh bas takreeban 7 baje tak aa jayenge.
Ragini: Jee papa theek hai, sabh tayar hai.
Vasu: Aur Gunni abhi tak nahi aayi?
Ragini: Mummy Jee voh office se seedha Abhay ke saath aa jayegi.
Vasu: Acha theek hai.
Alekh got freshened up and he was laying on the bed talking to Tammy and Khushi.
Alekh: Tum dono ne apna homework kar liya?
Khushi: Haan papa, choti maa ne humari help kardi
Tammy: Haan aur abh hum Sahil ke saath khelenge.
Sakshi: Alekh Ji, papa ke dost kab aa rahe hain?
Alekh: Bas thodi hi der main aa jayenge, tum Sahil ko mujhe do aur tum jakar change karlo.
Sakshi: Jee.
Alekh held Sahil in his arms and was laughing at his smile and Tammy and Khushi were also enjoying their little brother's giggles. Meanwhile, Ragini also went to change after finishing all the kitchen work; Anmol was taking a nap with his eyes closed. Ragini just smiled at him and went to take a shower. After a while, she was sitting on the dresser fixing her hair and putting little makeup. She decided to wake up Anmol as Kapoor family could be coming anytime.
Ragini: Anmol, uthiye.
Anmol rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms and got up.
Anmol: Pata nahi kaise aankh lag gayi, main to bas thodi der ke liye leta tha.
Ragini: Koi baat nahi, kafi thak honge na isliye. Chaliye neeche, voh log bas aatein hi honge. Anmol went to washroom and washed his face again with cold water and later followed Ragini downstairs. Alekh and Sakshi also came downstairs; Anmol held Sahil in his arms.
They were all in the living room waiting for Kapoor family and at 7pm sharp, Lalit and his wife, Gautami rang the doorbell. Inderjeet went up and greeted them. He and Lalit shared a hug and greeted Gautami.
Inderjeet: Long time no see. Ayiye, andar ayiye.
Vasu and Gautami shared a hug and greeted Lalit as well. Then Inderjeet introduced Ragini, Anmol, Sakshi and kids to Kapoor Family. Lalit and Gautami only knew Ranvir and Alekh as their two sons and they were little taken aback by seeing Anmol but they somehow ignored it. Anmol and Alekh greeted them while Ragini and Sakshi took their blessings.
Lalit: Are bas bas, God bless.
Gautami: Khush raho.
They were served drinks and refreshments and they were catching up on each other, where they have been and what they have been doing.
Lalit: Bhai Sahib, agar aap bura na maane to ek baat poochu aapse?
Inderjeet: Jee kahiye na.
Lalit: Bhai sahib, voh Ranvir nazar......
Everyone became quiet all of a sudden; Anmol looked at Ragini as again she was reminded of Ranvir after shes trying to move on. He looked at her with concerned look but Ragini gave him assured look that shes fine. Inderjeet then narrated them about Ranvir and Sadhana's death; both Lalit and Gautami were shocked.
Lalit: I am so sorry bhai sahib, humain to bilkul bhi andaza nahi tha is baat ka.
Gautami: Itna sabh kuch ho gaya aur humara in touch naa hone ki wajah se kuch pata hi nahi chala. She placed her hand on Vasu consoling her and Vasu nodded her head.
Inderjeet: Lekin upar wale ki marzi ko kaun taal sakta hai lekin khair hum sabh kismat wale hain ki humain Anmol jaisa beta mila.
Anmol smiled and he was even more happy that they introduced them as a son of the family.
Lalit: Are yeh bache kahan reh gaye? Aur dekhiye na bhai sahib aaj hum apne bachon ki wajah se mile hain, Abhay ne bataya humain ki voh aur Gunni saath hi kaam karte hain.
Inderjeet: Jee bilkul. Gunni aur Pratham, Satyan ke grand kids hain; kuch family problems ki wajah se, voh abh australia main hai, Naveen aur Avni ke saath. Aur Pratham bhi wahan ek hostel main studies finish kar raha hai aur Gunni yahan humare saath hai.
Gautami: Lo bache bhi aa gaye.
Abhay greeted everyone and he took blessings from Inderjeet and Vasu whereas Gunni also greeted them.
Inderjeet: Bahut acha laga tumse milkar beta, aao baitho.
Anmol: Inse to main aur Ragini pehle bhi mil chuke hain.
Later, they were all having diiner. Gautami and Vasu were sharing information about their charity projects they were running and Inderjeet and Lalit were having some business talks. Alekh and Anmol were talking to Abhay regarding some legal work and what he plans to do in future. Gunni and kids finished their dinner and Abhay was getting little bored. Ragini sensed that and she smiled to herself.
Ragini: Gunni, tum Abhay ko ghar kyun nahi dikha deti, bichara bore ho raha hoga.
Gunni: Okay Chachi, Abhay let me show you around.
Abhay excused herself and followed kids and Gunni.
Abhay: Are aap dono se to meri introduction huyi nahi, apka naam kya hai?
Tammy: Mera naam tamanna hai par mujhe sabh Tammy kehte hain.
Abhay: Very good, so will you be my friend?
Tammy nodded and shook hands with Abhay.
Abhay: Aur aap?
Khushi: Mera naam Khushi hai.
Abhay: Oh wow, pretty name. Friends?
She also shook hands with him. Later they went downstairs to have ice cream as Sakshi had called them. Gunni was showing him around the house and she explained him about Ranvir and Sadhna's death as well and told him about Anmol and Sakshi.
Gunni: Tammy, Ranvir aur Ragini chachi ki beti hai aur Khushi Alekh aur Sadhna chachi ki beti hai.
Abhay: Very tragic incident. Aur tumhare parents?
Gunni told him about them as well and how shes been living here since long time and her parents reside in Australia due to some family problems but she doesn't know for sure what that is. She just knows that they are there to handle business and her brother will be coming here soon after finishing his degree from Australia as well.
Abhay: You must be missing be your family then
Gunni: Sometimes but I have chachu and chachu here and whole family to love me and the kids ofcourse. Khair jaane do, aao neeche chalein.
They went downstairs and had dessert. Soon after, Kapoor family decided to leave as it was getting late.
Lalit: Thank you so much for inviting us; itne saalon baad milkar badi khushi huyi.
Inderjeet: Are pleasure is all mine. Abh to mulakaat hoti rahegi, kyun Abhay beta?
Abhay: Jee uncle, sure.
Abhay shook hands with Alekh and Anmol and wished them goodnight; greeted everyone else. Lalit and Gautami went in their separate and Abhay went towards his car.
Abhay: Allright Gunni, Goodnight and see you tomorrow at office
Gunni: Yea sure, goodnight. Bye!
