Part 2
They were headed to their farmhouse, two cars were waiting outside. Inderjit decides to drive one and the other Anmol, it's not like they had a much of choice either. Inderjit left in his car with Vasu, aalekh and Sakshi. The kids and Ragini joined Anmol.
Anmol wanted this trip to be memorable for the kids. He played his favorite song that he listens everyday on his way back home.
"Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna Yeh Hum Nahin Jaante,
Magar Jee Nahi Sakte Tumhare Bina."
Anmol was now singing the song along, Ragini looked at him in surprise as she never heard him sing before and he was singing so well. Anmol stopped singing when he noticed Ragini looking at him.
"Kya hua? Aap ruk kyun gaye?" asked Ragini.
"Bas aise hi..." replied anmol.
'gaaiye na, acha gaate hain." Replies Ragini.
This song was one of her personal favorites as well. Anmol smiled and continued singing. She didn't again look towards anmol; rather she looked outside the window, enjoying the beautiful sunshine, it was more like enjoying him singing. The weather was cloudy, but sun was still quite visible. Anmol couldn't help himself but look at Ragini. The kids were fast asleep in the back seat.
Anmol reached the farmhouse; Inderjit's car was already parked outside. It was only 11am. They had so much fun to do while they are there. Ragini woke the kids up, while anmol took out the baggage from the car.
Tashi ran inside and out the backyard. It had a swimming pool, they were super excited. This weekend was going to be fun for them. Vasu goes in her room; she had no interest in joining in this picnic with them. TaShi wanted to go for a swim; Ragini thought that it may be a bit cool for a swim, so she insists on swimming later in the noon. But kids weren't listening, anmol assured Ragini that the kids would be fine and let them enjoy. It was Anmol's assurance after all, ragini agreed without any further discussion. Ragini left inside to set up some things, while TaShi quickly ran to change for swimming.
"Mamma…Maasi Ma…" is what ragini heard continuously. She thought that someone may have got injured or something bad may have happened. Without any thinking Ragini ran towards the backyard. Ragini was having bad thoughts as she headed towards to check on her kids who were calling out to her continuously. As soon as comes out a splash of water soaked her. Ragini was surprised. Anmol had accidently threw a bucket of water on her, which was meant for aalekh. Ragini was soaking, anmol was embarrassed. It was dead drop silence. Anmol continuously apologised for his doing and that he didn't intend to do this one purpose. Ragini gave anmol an angry look, Anmol was really feeling bad. It came to his surprise when he heard Ragini laugh. He wondered that isn't Ragini angry on him? If he had done that a few years back ragini would've killed him but it wasn't like that. She was laughing; it took anmol a while to respond. Soon enough he too was laughing and so were others. Anmol hadn't seen Ragini so happy, what brought this change in her? It was for good indeed but what made her change so much? Ragini saw anmol giving her that look once again, the look she tries to avoid each time, the look that made her heartbeat go faster, and the look that asked her thousand questions and expressed his love for her. She quietened down and to avoid that gaze she walked away and began to play with the kids. Even though she was with the kids, anmol had still ruled over her mind. She knew that she was thinking about anmol too much now, but why? She didn't have any answer to that question. All she knew was that anmol is slowly taking over her mind and maybe her heart aswell. Anmol too joined in playing with TaShi and Aalekh. He keeps gazing at her, and Ragini kenw this yet she avoided to look back at him. Anmol knew that there was a change in Ragini, she was more softer towards him now. Things were going normal between the two these days.
TaShi wanted to play the blindfold game, they all had taken turns. It was anmol's turn to be blindfolded. He was being teased by all, he knew where the kids exactly were but he played for a bit longer. He finally caught someone…he knew that it wasn't Tamanna aur Khushi, neither it was aalekh. He removed the blindfold and found Ragini…he had his arms wrapped around her. Ragini had that uncomfortable look, which made anmol immediately let go of her. No word was spoken by the two, since Ragini had been caught; she was to be blindfolded now. Anmol carefully blindfolded Ragini, trying not to touch her or making her feel uncomfortable. Ragini began to react to sounds and started walking around trying to catch someone, she didn't realise where she was headed. She screamed out loud when she felt something in her foot. Hearing her scream anmol rushed to her and saw that Ragini was really hurt on her foot. He really wanted to get the piece of glass out of her foot, but how could he? What if Ragini minded him touching her? Seeing her in pain, made him react instantly, and he held her by her foot.
"Thoda sa dard hoga." Said Anmol.
He very carefully removed the glass out of her foot, Ragini sighed in pain. Sakshi had come there with water. Anmol washed her feet to remove all the blood. It was a deep cut, he knew she wouldn't be able to walk but what to do she needed to be taken to the room.
Sakshi said "anmol Ji, ragini didi ko andar le jaaiye, inke paon mein toh bohut chot aayi hai."
Anmol was in a dilemma, how would he actually take her? He has no choice but to carry her, and Ragini would never allow this. Both exchanged looks, Ragini too knew that there is only one way, and that was to be carried by Anmol. Sakshi, vasu and inderjit kept insisting to take Ragini in the room and not to think much. Anmol looked at Ragini to read her face…Ragini didn't say anything but just slightly nodded which was hardly visible. Anmol very carefully lifted her in his strong arms. Ragini knew she was safe in those arms, she trusts him. Anmol didn't once look at Ragini, just so she wouldn't feel comfortable but she couldn't manage to take her eyes off him. He very slowly kept her on the bed, Sakshi followed in the room with the first aid box. She applied dettol on her feet; Ragini who was holding anmol's arm was now holding it even tighter to come over the burning sensation of the dettol. Anmol looked at ragini in surprise, but he wasn't able to see ragini in pain. He put his hand over Ragini's just to assure her that he is with her. Sakshi did Ragini's dressing and in no time she was done and left to get some haldi milk for her. Ragini was still holding onto anmol's arm, he sat on the bed facing her. She let go off his arm when she realised that she had been holding on to him for quite a while now. Both didn't utter a word and just enjoyed the silence…their eyes did the talking for them.
"bohut dard ho raha hai?" asked anmol finally breaking the silence and the eye lock.
"uhhh Nahin thodi der mein thik ho jaayega." responds Ragini.
"didi yeh dood pee lijiye." enters sakshi with the haldi milk.
Sakshi immediately left to change TaShi's clothes after handing the milk to Ragini. Ragini knew that the taste of the milk is terrible; she really was acting childish when it came to drinking. Anmol let out a little giggle. Ragini looked at anmol laugh and asked him the reason for giggling.
Anmol says "I'm sorry...par Ragini aap toh bilkul Tammy aur khushi jaisi hai."
Ragini realised that she was making faces at the milk like tammy and khushi do. A slight smile appeared on her face aswell.
