Bidaai making society hate dusky girls:Mod's note PG16 - Page 9

At first, show was little realistic when they showed Ranvir dreaming about Anamika to be fair( Most guys if given a choice, prefer Fair life partner most of the time), later Ranvir realised love that existed between him and Ragini was more precious than physical appearance which was a good message to guys/prents desiring fair wife/daughter in law. But it's not good to show these differences in children.
unless they are going to Tamanna taking it +vely and emerging as strong woman, they should not dwelve on this issue anymore.

Anyway I wanted the Bidaai to end the day I heard Ranvir was dead.
Please end Bidaai it has become a torture.

I confess I have 2 daughters, elder one is dusky and younger is fair, And I never worry about it because where I live its not an issue and my elder one is already high on confidence:-)

dnt take this to heart...colour is secondary..i know it hurts..i myself am of dusky complexion and hav heard taunts bt i dnt let it affect me..moreover am short,so u cn imagine what life i had as a teenager...bt now am happily in a relationship past 5 yrs...and sum1 who loves me just the way i am..and ironically,my best frnd frm college is amazingly pretty..and she was afraid whether the guy who claimed to like her liked her for herself or her looks..so u see,life can be wierd..take it in ur stride and dnt let it hamper ur confidence even fractionally...personality gives a glow to the face,believe me..it adds to ur features..be confident and u will feel beautiful..

They have no creative idea, they keep repeating on showing the same again and again, they claim to show the dark girl as nice, but they always show her as an evil, they did with Ragini at the rift time, Chotti Maa, Kaushi, so I would not be surprised if they did it with Tammy as well.......

You are absolutely right,bidaai claim to show dark girls as nice girls but they never showed dark girls as nice and strong characters.At one hand they keep giving lectures that so what ragini is sanwali but she has golden heart but they never showed Ragini doing anything which will indeed make viewers believe that ragini does have a golden heart.I mean I as a viewer could never see Ragini doing anything for her family ,indeed she was shown as burden because for her ,her fair sister had to sacrifice alott.So people will tend to hate her and reckon her as dumbo and mean sister and I am sure creatives ulitimatley showed her fair sister sacrificing her life too for Ragini.

Kaushi is shown to to be jealous and negative character.Ambika is shown to be the most evil character of all and Ragini well she was never shown with any qualities ,she was just a showpiece but when rift track came she was shown the most mean selfish girl who ruined her fair sister's married life forgetting her sacrifices.I mean all this give only one impression that all dark girls have dark heart too all

same they are showing with tammy

I wonder how their so called show will bring any positive difference for dark girls in society

I don't think Bidaai's aim is to make us "hate" dark girls, but yes they have not done a good job of portraying the issue of color discrimination. At some point or the other, all darker-skinned women in the show have been shown as negative and weak. Starting with Kaushi to Choti Ma and then onto Ragini. They've all been people we dislike at some point.

Well sorry friends... i was never hooked to this show... but have seen this show in pieces because of my cousins who watch it.... I kind of didn't like the way they showed about the dark-skinned girls...

i still remember when bidaai had just started airing.... they had put an article in marriage proposals stating how many wants to marry Sadhana & Ragini... it was kind of a poll.... and Sadhana won with 86% votes... the producers then said we'll now show that darkskinned girls are also self-reliant, independent & successful.... but they proved everything opposite.... by making all darkskinned girls in the show negative....

this is with the shows... i never like fairness cream ads which show that the darkskinned girls & guys gained confidence because they turned fair... i love shahrukh but i did not like him doing an ad for fairness cream...

I have seen some people talking about parul being dark and yet so successful and then and yes not to forget some even mentioned that her friends obliged her by not letting her down for her complexion and being accepted by them

what a huge success she got when people have to oblige this girl by accpeting her overlooking her complexion

secondly I am sure no girl wants this kind of success where firstly u will be looked down upon for being dark and secondly she will be loathed by viewers because of her character ragini

I am sure that poor girls PARUL 's heart might have cried alott for playing negavtive role and depicting very wrong image of dark and dusky girls. But she had to do this because that was writers order and she out of mujboori cant leave the show

I read in one of her interviews that she is the son of her family,like an ideal son she is taking care of her family

I am sure no dusky model from a wealthy family will ever accpet a role out of mujjburi in which she has to depict wrong image of dusky and dark girls but poor parul had to accept this because she is main supporter of her family

FOR ME PARUL IS INDEED THE IDEAL DAUGHTER IN REAL LIFE,but she had to play the role of an irresponsible daughter onscreen because she was dark,audience wont see this parul who in actual is sacrificing for her family to support them by accepting a very demeaning role which completely ruin the dark girls image.

one ssuch comment was-saari kaali ladkiyon ka gang kale mann ki kali ragini ko suport karta hai,kali parul ko kaun movie mein lega?

Now who wants this kind of success when viewrs will address u like this

and offfcourse one who is playing angel will always be loved by viewers first for her role and secondly for her beauty and one who is playing mean and selfish girls role will be loathed by society firstly for her meaness secondly for her complexion

viewers dont see thee dark truth behind this and the colour discrimination behind this

When shilpa shetty had to listen to some racist comment form jade goody whole indian stood in support of shilpa shetty

I want this time that viewers should look beyond the show and must realise that this show is indeed promoting colour discrimination in india

I WATCHED THE EPISODE IN WHICH A FEELOW SCHOOL MATE OF TAMANNA MOCKED AT HER THAT FAIRY ARE NOT BLACKS

INDEED THIS SHOW HAS PROVED THAT BECAUSE THE SHOW FIRST PROVED ONE FAIR SISTER TO BE ANGEL AND FAIRY AND DARK SISTER WAS PORTRAYED AS GREY CHARACTER

AND NOW WITH GENERATION LEAP AGAIN TAMANNA WILL DEFINATELY NOT BE PORTRAYED AS AN ANGEL,SHE WILL AGAIN BE PORTRAYED AS MEAN AND UNCARING SISTER NOT AS AN ANGEL BUT HER FAIR SISTER WILL BE PORTRAYED AS ANGEL

If being lotahed by society is what you call success thn i pray that god must not give this kind of success to anyone
