they should have highlighted the good things abt dark / browwn ppl ....... coz in india mojor population consists of brown ppl ......... colour can never be the criteria to judge sumone's beauty ...... coz it changes wid the environment........ like ppl living in west are fair coz of the cold env there n ppl here are dark/ brown coz of the warm climate .......... features play a very imp role as far as beauty is concerned n he should have highlighted this thing ....... he should have portrayed dark ppl as beautiful n good too just like fair ppl ........... but instead of chging ppl's thinking in a positive way .......... he did totally the opposite of wat he should have done being a citizen of this country as part of his social responsibility .......... IT IS INDEED A VERY SERIOUS MATTER NOW !!!

you almost stole my words,i think the best way is to eradicate the very notion form the society that dark grils are not beautiful is by not even bringing this issue that there is any such kind of biasedness in the society and secondly by promoting dark grils as beautiful girls
In movies have we ever considered kajol as ugly ,no because she was always promoted as beautifl girl, movies even didnt brought out his issue infact kajol is considered very beautiful
Then have we ever seen bpasha basu or nandita das being een considered as dark and not so beautiful girls, they are always promoted as dusly beauties
I totally agree with you that human beings complexion depends on countrys climate in which they are living, those who live in west are fair because of their countries are far of from equator and thus sun rays makes less amount of melanin in their skins
and those who live in aisa here as our countires are closer to equator so peopel living here will tend to get their skins tanned because of melanin producing sun rays
Even among our indo aryans who were whites who migrated to india from west many years ago many of them who because of their work were xposed to sunlight turned darker because of melanin production in the skin and then slowly in their offspings gene mutation happened and they become brown skin
So every thing is so scintefic, tommorrow if science develops some technolgy which will control melanin prduction in human beings skin that day there wil be no scope for such stupid tv shows
Infact then we will be seeing fair sking getting their skins tanned and may be dusky and dark skins people changing their skin colour
In west people r mad to get their skins tanned but in india and especially in small towns people are such hypocrites that they relate perosns behaviour with their skin colour
I think bidaai producer and and its creatives belongs to some backward village and that why they have such a rustic thinking which are showing in the show
I agree with you mona_28 bidaai porducer and its creatives needs to be punished for their spreading a wrong message to the society
we also owe a public appology from them

I am not yet blaming Tamanna cos she is just a kid.Ragini wouldn't have been too if she wasn't used as a lab rat. There would have been bitterness but not to the level that was shown!

This is a very funny topic, but, not sure about the Indian society as a whole, but, I prefer desi looks 😉😉 and I know many guys prefer the same. Compare a dusky indian to another light Indian, the dark one is always prefd in the long run, ofcourse not the case for all, but, ofcourse nature comes first, irrespective of skin tone or color 😆. Just my POV, i just thought that this post is funny, no offense. This forum should take a poll from all the guys regarding color tone. 😊

zack my man ... u have ur choice ... we all have our own. It really doesnt matter, the skin color. What matters is the attitude of the person. A person with a negative attitude, be it any color, will always give pain - whether as a friend or as a spouse, and neither relationships are supposed to last.
Skin color makes no difference after the first few years of marriage (the so called "honeymoon period") ... cuz real life comes through from there...

Hi i m not asking u guys wether dark grils are beautiful or not orwhom would you prefer i am saying that as bidaai since begining have always tried to draw an ugly contrast bewteen fair and dark sister and not only contrast in their physical looks but in their nature
in this show dark girls are shown bad, jealous, weak ,cry babies, they are portrayed as women with dark skin and dark hearts
what you r considering as funny is rather a very serious issue in small towns and villages where still backward people reject dark girls
The show will worsen the situation for dark girls in small towns as maority of indain tv viewers are from small cities
even in big cities only those women who are educated and professional will not be affected by this show but those who r confined to homes and are not xposed to real world outside will tend to develop a notion against dark girls because in this show dark grils were always shown bad in front of fair girls
so one which u thinking is funny can turn out to be very serisous issue for some poor dark skinned girls in small towns

To some of us it might look funny, esp., if one is not exposed to / might have never been in that seat.
But some of us here have been dark skinned ,and have seen the society being unfair so I can't laugh at this topic.
Bidaai has not addressed this issue well .Taking such a sensitive issue, it has to be shown well, or else there is lots of chances of misunderstanding possible, though not done with bad heart/intention.

Nothing to panic, maybe RS has something good in store.

well thanx
when ever i used to visit thisi forum as a silent reader i used to think how come no one on this forum sensed this thing
I am sorry but i have always seen immature fans ffighting for their favourite jodis and nevr considering this fact that bidaai indeed is spreading a very wrong message to the society
I have not seen even a single member showing its concern regarding this issue
I never took this thing so serioulsy to especially make an india forum account to make any topic regarding this on india forum but when creatives started showing same things with tamanna, dark sister, shallow, jealous of her sister success then i strongly felt for making this topic
I think members on this forum instead of fighting for their fictional jodis should rather come forward to deal with this threat which bidaai is posing to to indian society.
