yes u r right somya....bidaai is definitely creating a wrong impression about dark girls...choti ma..then ragini during rift track n may b now tamanna....jab k the creatives must change the thinking of the audiences that dark girls are too warm at heart..they have feelings too n theres no need for them to b jealous...creatives must treat them equally...pehle se hi indian ppl reject dark ppl...yaaar doggy b lete hain to white hona hota hai....i should not b saying this but in my city this is very common wer a dark girl is always rejected...she is forced to believe that she is inferior n if she has a cousin who is fair then to bechariii comparisons start like nething....bidaai must show that dark ones too are good at heart n like all other fair ppl they too want to live peacefully....

I am not wrong they have never showed who dark grils face hardships and how they come out of it as strong women
for ragini her sister was always there to solve problems
ragini was always shown mean, and shallow, she was always shown having inferiority complex, and she was never shwon fighting with problems ,she was always left upon the mercy of her fair sister
is this the way to show how dark girls come out of hardsips in their lives.
If creatives really wanted to show dark girls as strong women then first they should hae shown Ragini opposing kaushi for her beahviour towards her sister, she needed to make kaushi to get out of her insecurites reagrding her, secondly she should have shown tackling up family responsibilites and educating herself to the level so she could be self dependednt
But no Ragini was always shown crying and crying
And amibika when she faced hardships she was shown to avenge upon vasu through alwkh
Now tell me is this the way to show how dark women come out of their hardships
And kaushi she always hated sadhna because in socistey she was always compared with ragini and was labeled as beautiful girl
now tell me has kaushy aptly dealed witht his problem by hating sadhna
I think if creatives would have shown kaushi loving sadhna and considering her as her daughter as well ignoring comments form people aorund her then we could have said that creatives aim was to show obstacles in dark girls lives and how bravely they come out of it
But no no woman in bidaai was shown coming our of their obstacles, ambika and kasuhi are almost shown as villain in the show and creatives left no stone unurned in proving Ragini as weak and selifsh woman
and now with tamanna they are shwoing the same thing
They could have shown tamanna being happy for her sister and motivating her.
agaain khushi is ready to sacrifice for her but tamanna she is not talking to her because she is upsset that her sister got role but she has not got d role
well till now 3 woman were shown as dark characters and among which two were villain and Ragini she was shown as lame character and with tamanna they are showing same things
tell me I am sure there might be many girls on this forum who are not fair ,do you guys feel jealous for your sister's success? as what is shown in bidaai

@To the topic starter:

Simply tell your mom and maasi that HEART DOES NOT DEPEND ON COLOR. This show is only showing a story ... and in this story the fair skinned girl is not having a GREAT LIFE for being fair skinned.

While we all usually wonder how difficult it might be for the DARK SKINNED GIRL ... this show brings forward the untold miseries of the fair skinned girl who also faces the painful side of this discrimination.

A dark skinned girl can also have a dark heart, and a fair skinned girl can also have a pure heart ... while a dark skin girl also may have a pure heart and a fair skin girl a dark heart... EVENTUALLY, THE SKIN TONE DOESNT MATTER ... ITS WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR LIFE WHICH DOES.

Lets not be confined in the generalised version of MISERIES ... lets look at Bidaai if we want to see the other side of the story aswell.

I think this problem exists in small cites . ia hev never seen this kind of discrimination in metrapolitaian states
Me myself is dusky and I was never faced with any such problem in my life
Infact I never even considered this this thing that I am dusky and so I am not considered beautiful according to conventional norms of indian society. Its after watching bidaai I started thinking acha
aisa bhi hota hai society mein.😲

Your Point is little bit over the top.First thing Tammana has not turned bad or negative.Tammana would have felt the same even if she was Fair as she wanted to be fairy in the show so obviously she is feeling bad.The teacher said to Ragini Tammana was very good in every thing including studies and she will be very good Fairy. She wanted to give Khushi Chance so that she Should feel more confidence. So were did you get the point that Tammana is unsuccessfull.

People like Koushi will be afraid because in this society some people treat dark people(girls Specifically) like this.I'm also dark in complextion(half darker than Ragini still i had to suffer), some people treated me like that but that did not stop me from being successfull i'm Business Management Graduate and successfull interior designer(i'm Part time lecturer in reputed college).I too felt very sad when people were treating me as though i'm from out of this world some alien.I did not turn bad or negative(it always depends on how you take from the situation and what you want to become)
I actually thank Rajan Sir for bringing this issue which is social issue which will not die so easily but atleast Bidaai is trying to bring that issue in the story so that atleast if it changes the view of one person it is worth showing.I started watching Bidaai in the beginning because it was story between two sisters one is fair and other is Dark

dear i m not just talking about tamanna I am giving you over all view of bidaai,I have been following this show since begining,I have not missed even a single episode, those who have watched bidaai since begining will undersatnd what I want to say
well You are perfect example of not so fair girl who is successful with out haveing anysort of inferiority complex and facing hardships in ur life bravely and coming out of it as a strong woman
Here I m not pointing towards tamanna only,I am talikng about three dark women who are shown facing the probelms because of their complexion but creatives showed one woman ambika who to takee revenge on vasu made her son mentally unsound, then kaushi was shown bearing hatred against sadhna, she mistreated sadhna since begining and then Ragini she was always shown dumbo, and during rift track mean,She was never shown coming out of all these problems strongly
You really need to see bidaai each and every episode to undersatnd what I want to say ,You will thn realise that bidaai creatives indeed made fun of the issue about society's attitude twoards dark girls.
Now wih tamanna they have just started
Bidaai creatives are intelliegnt enought to show this ugly contrast very slowly.only those will be able to make out that these creatives always made fun of the issue rather then strongly taking it who have watched bidaai's each and every episode

even among bollywood actresses, bipasha basu ,kajol, nandita das all dusky beauties and they are always promoted as beautiful women in their movies
but in bidaai not so fair girls are always promoted as ugly girls with dark hearts.
I

Provide the source ... I would also like to know which "International Standard" categorized and makes statistics about the percentage of fair against dark. I have had a decent education and never came across something like this.

Kiran Bedi is dark? ... I dont want to dig deeper here as it really doesnt matter ... BUT ... what matters is the source.

Also, I made another post here on the previous page ... I think that should solve the problem between you and your mom-maasi.

I agree with the topic maker to some extent...
the show does send out a somewhat subtle message tht dark people e .lack moral courage..
the majority of bidaai's viewership lies in rural and level b towns..and there you already have a mindset ..tht doesn't need it reinforced...

The problem is when they higlight the color issue..like wiith Kaushi,Chotimaa,Ragini and now Tamanna ..all have repeatedly been addressed as dark and then u see them failing somewhere...

But Vasu /MAlti who do have many character flaws much more thn say Kaushi /Ragini are never addressed as fair or their color is never highlighted...we know they are fair, but it just fades into the background...so u don't connect it....

Unintentionally they have ended up connecting dark color with bad behavior..
You just have to see some utube comments during the rift track...
