Chocolover, very well explained! That line for me meant that dark-skinned people are judged based on their colour without even given a chance.Ragini being power-hungry and money-hungry that's even with her current behaviour doesn't ring true!

Navneeta-ambiguous replies from RS.He mentioned that the re-union process started and in the same vein stated that they might re-unite or part for life.May be he mentioned it to add a mystery factor so that ppl couldn't stop watching this.Whatever it is disappointed with his answers!

If you look at Ragini(she can never be called power hungry by the worst critic also), the same is about Kaushi. Kaushi is very bad to Sadhna because of her insecurity, but definitely not power hungry or money hungry. Both Ragini and Kaushi are obsessed, one about the husband and the other about Ragini.

Bidaai's concept in dealing with the story line was a bit different, and thats what made the show different. We all are aware that dark-skinned people are treated bad, this is the norm of our society. But Bidaai dealt with how a fair-skinned girl can also be treated badly. We have a notion, if someone is pretty rather fair, that person is the luckiest. Through this show, we came to see every person has his/her own destiny and destiny strikes a person without taking into account whether one is fair or dark...

The story has now gone beyond this skin issue, and rather some issues beyond that...it has gone deep into character analysis...like Kaushi, her complex is skin colour, and this concern is making her daughter's life hell...Vasu is power hungry, she thinks other than her, noone can think good about Rajvanshs, Indrajit..a totally spineless character, Ragini..suffered due to colour and is continuously reminded of her colour by her own mother...Sadhna...her beauty became her biggest curse....every person has his or her own problems...it started with colour issue, but it has not gone deep into some other social issues...like how a girl's life should be post marriage, what problems can she face and how to tackle...

I feel Ragini's life is a lesson to learn from...A simple girl to start with, how she was manipulated and whats the end result, a total sacrifice of her values just because she is a weak character....its nothing beyond reality though
