Unfair to malti - Page 4

Ermm, no one here is outrightly bashing anyone at all.....The members here are just discussing characters and their motivations.....Actually, the mere fact alone that people are critically discussing the characters goes to show how well scripted and well etched the show and the characters really are....There are hardly any Indian shows out there that actually allows room for critical discussion as the plot is usually paper thin and the characters are very one dimensional, so it's refreshing to have a show like Bidaai where such discussions can thrive....

LMAO, this discussion is very interesting I must say! I never knew that everyone here felt that so much 'injustice' was being done to bechari 'babe in the woods' Malti.....hahaha

Anywhoo....as has been clarified by some ppl already, 'Vinu ki bahu' is by no means an 'insulting' term meant to 'take away from Matli's 'identity'. I personally don't think that the Sharma family has been unfair to Malti in anyways and not treated her nicely enough as a daughter. It's a two way street....Malti herself for the most part is usually insulting the entire family and passing catty comments about them....her recent 'goody good' behavior aside.....so I hardly see how exactly this makes the Sharma family such big 'hypocrites'....In fact, I think they've actually been very nice and accomodating of Malti's negative traits and choose to look beyond them in the overall scheme of things.

And wow, just because Mamaji ate and drank a couple of times at the Rajvansh house when Sadi was the bahu there, shows that he doesn't care for Sadi as his own daughter???? LOL....amazing really! Man, this show shows such simple and nice customs/tradtions in such a nice manner but it's a little sad when they get so misinterpreted by so many ppl here:S

Vineet being in jail brought out her full emotions, and she was frantic to save him. She is very active, she tried everything she could think of, everything else be damned. That is a true wife, who values her husband over her own self. When Vineet tried to support that horrible Kaushi when Kaushi was trying to stop Ragini's wedding with Ranveer, Malti stopped him and saved the situation. That is being a good bhabi. She was aware that Vineet needed a job for everyone's sake so she tried to make him accept the Rajvansh offer. Similarly, Malti forced Ragini to meet Ranvir, and forced her to accept she was in love with him. She supported Ragini and Mama ji later on as well. Thats being a good daughter in law, thinking of what will impact the family as a whole.

Her problem, I think is the fact that she is treated like an outsider, or a servant, not like the daughter in law. She takes care of everything in the house, but people value Ragini more, and focus on her more. Why is it surprising that she would try to make her position stronger in her house, when she feels ignored and left out a lot, even by the sisters and her own husband? I think she is in fact, a pretty good wife and daughter in law. Im not saying shes perfect, far from it, but hell, she could be a meeti churi like Avni, right?

I agree with everyone a hundred percent, malti is treated unfairly, all her desires are always shot down that is why she has to resort to all these evil methods to get what she wants and i think when vinu landed the job she couldnt control herself. The whole "vinu ki bahu" thing has to change, they should look at malti as an indivdual, she is a wife, but she has her own inviduality as well. Mama and Mamiji need to start showing her more love and respect maybe with that she will feel the apnapan of a sasural. As for sadhna as much as mamaji supposedly loves her, its not the same. He didnt stand up for her when mamiji was having a rajini panic attack and hated her. She sacrficied her life to save that family and in return she is still getting hatred. Agreed ragini has had it tough but there are other ppl in your life aside from your one daughter, you have another daughter , a son and a daughter in law whos feelings you should consider. glad i could vent out, i feel better now!

yes! i totally agree with you. i like malti alot and i think mamiji treats her with no respect

Mami always gives evil look to malti and sadhna so typical hypocrite she is and wants everyone shud luv her daughter....
