Question re: Anjali

I have not been a consistent watcher of Sangam but have seen it here and there in the past year. I remember a little bit about a young Anjali referring to Ganga as mom but was Ganga really her mom? I mean she refers to Saagar as Chachu and if I am not wrong Anjali is the daughter of Saagar's elder brother who had married Ganga who back then was Jhanvi and hence Ganga technically became Anjali's mom even though she is not her biological mom. RIGHT?😕

I guess basically my quesion is, is Ganga the biological mom of Anjali?😃
