Part 16:
Akash put Manya down as she held his collar.
A: Lights ko kya hua? What happened?
AM: Patha nahin, beta. This is the first time...
AF: Its the weather, probably! Look outside!
They all peered outside the windows and noticed that heavy rain had started to fall and thunder struck everywhere. Manya leaned in closer to Akash who laughed in her ears.
A: Darr gayee?
Manya elbowed him playfully.
M: Lights on karo!
A: Ma..lights kahan se on kerni hain?!
AM: Basement mein jao, beta! Wahan hi main switch hai!
Akash squinted in the dark and only saw figures. He whispered to Manya,
A: Main abhi aya, jaan...!
He made his way through the hallway of people who were moving around frantically. Akash heard the thunder pound as he raced downstairs.
A: Flashlight, flashligt...
When he couldn't find one, Akash followed the wall and found the light switch. It was turned on...
Akash fumed with the light switch, suddenly, when Manya's echoing scream filled the house.
M: AKASH!!!!!!
Akash dropped his tools as he spun around. He ran up the stairs and into the hallway.
A: MANYA!
Everyone started moving around, some whispering and some shouting. Dim light came from outside as the door stood open.
A: Kya hua? Manya kahan hai?!
AM: Patha nain, beta! Abhi uski cheekh--
M: AKAAASH!!!!!!!!!!
Akash turned towards the voice. It was coming from outside. He pushed everyone out of his way, racing.
A: Manya!
Just as he reached outside, he saw a black car speeding away. Akash raced back inside the house and grabbed his car keys, starting up his own white car.

Manya tried to look through the blind fold covering her eyes. She was beginning to feel dizzy as she felt herself in a moving vehicle. Her hands tied behind her back, Manya remembered whath happened. She was standing near the door, waiting for Akash to return. Suddenly, a blind fold covered her eyes. Expecting it be someone in the house, she didn't make a sound. All of a sudden she felt herself being thrown somewhere, possibly a car, when she yelled out Akash's name. Her hands were being tied behind her back. She called out to Akash again.
Manya tried to open her eyes under the bliind fold, trying to peer through the dark cloth. She only heard breathing on her left side. After what seemed like a long time, Manya felt someone's strong hands grip hers and pull her out, hoisting her in someone's arms.
M: Chodo mujhe! LET GO OF ME!!!!!

Akash stared into the rain pounding on his windshield. He looked around and noticed that the black car was gone. He punched his steering wheel, shouting.
A: MANYAAA!!!!!!!!!

Manya's screams were ignored as someone gently threw her down.
Person: I don't want to hurt you, Manya...
Manya suddenly stopped moving and recognized the voice.
M: Tum--
Suddenly, Manya's blind fold opened as she opened her eyes. Sure enough, she blinked and saw the person. Karan.

Akash tapped his foot angrily as the police reached him. He filled them in on how he followed the car upto this point, and then the car disappeared.
A: Search everywhere! I want my wife!!
PM (policeman): Rest assured, Mr. Rathod. We will find her!
Akash stood outside in the pouring rain, wondering what happened. Who could've kidnapped Manya? What did anyone want from her?

Manya glared at Karan.
M: Tum!
Karan bent down, holding Manya's face in his hands. She turned away, disgusted.
K: Kya karun, Manya. Main--main--tumne aisa kyun kiya, Manya? Mujh mein kya burai thi?!
Manya stared at him, shocked.
M: Tum pagal ho, Karan! Chodo mujhe!
Karan stared at her as tears fell out of Manya's eyes.
K: Rau muth, Manya! Main tumhe khush rakhun ga! I'll give you all the happiness!
Manya moved her hands frantically, trying to open them.
K: Main hoon na, Manya! Main hoon na!
M: Pagal ho tum! Pagal!!!
K: HAAN!!!!! MAIN PAGAL HOON!!!
Manya jumped back, her head hitting against the wall. Karan grabbed it, rubbing it softly.
K: Manya! Relax, Manya! Kyun ki main tumhe kahin nain jaane dhoon ga!
M: Kya chahte ho tum? Paisa? Money?!
Karan stared at her.
K: Paisa? Mere paas bahutt paisa hai, Manya! Bas ek cheez nain thi! Aur woh thi tum! Aur dekho na! Main tumhe apne paas le aya!!
Manya stared at him as he stood up, laughing.
K: Le aya main tumhe apne paas!!

Akash kicked his car.
A: MANYA! KAHAN HO TUM!!!
On one side, Akash fell to his knees in the rain, feeling helpless. On the other, Manya cried to herself, looking around at the empty room she was in....

Akash stood up. He started walking around, in search of Manya.
A: Itni door nain ho sakti woh yahan se! The car was here a while ago!

Sunlight shone through a little window, hitting Manya's eyes. She opened them slowly and remembered where she was. Tears slipped down her eyes.
M: Akash! Kahan ho tum?
Karan entered the room, smiling.
K: Manya! Manya! There you are, beautiful! Yeh dekho-main tumhare liye kya laya hoon!
He opened a package of a sari in front of Manya. He opened her hands so she could admire it.
Manya stared down at it and looked down at her own sari. She remembered how Akash had presented it to her, and she remembered his letter. She picked up the sari and threw it in Karan's face, who stared at her angrily.
K: Manya!
M: Nahin chahiye mujhe tmhari koi bhi cheez! Main tho tumhe apna dost maanti thi, Karan! Aur tumne mujhe mere hi Akash se door ker diya?!
K: Bahut dard hoti hai na?! Ussai door reh ker? Mujhe bhi dard hua tha, Manya! BAHUT DARD HUA THA! Jab maine tumse pyar kiya aur tumne--
M: You can't force me, Karan! Meri shaadi ho chuki hai ussai!
K: Nain maanta main uss shaadi ko!!!
He raised his hand to her head and rubbed it over Manya's "maang," removing her sindoor. Manya screamed and pushed him.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------------
Just as Karan had erased Manya's sindoor, a thunder bolt struck near Akash. He looked at it, shocked. The rain had mostly stopped, and dim sunlight was now covering the sky. Where'd the thunder come from? He stared around him as leaves flew all around him, hitting his face as the wind grew faster.

As Karan left the little room angrily, Manya fell to her knees, crying.
M: Akash...!
She looked up at the sky from the little window over her head and cried.
M: (Singing) Jis Pyaar Pe Hum Ko Yakin Hai

Akash was walking in the street when suddenly chimes rang. The wind picked up as everything on the ground from here to there. Akash stood still when suddenly Akash heard a singing voice as he stared around him.
A: Manya--!!!
He ran to the direction of the voice. He reached a little cottage between the woods. He stopped and softly breathed.

Manya stopped singing as she felt a strange feeling arise within her. Her heart suddenly began to beat faster.
M: Akash?

Akash jumped back, behind a tree, when the cottage door opened. Akash stared as Karan came out.
Karan turned and saw Akash. He glared at him. Akash glared back.
A: Tumhari itni himat ke tumne Manya ko--
Karan backed to the door.
K: Nain, Akash, nain! Aaj meri Manya ko koi ni chuai ga! Koi ni!
A: Tumhari Manya! Manya sirf aur sirf MERI hai!
K: NAIN!!!
He raced back in the cottage and burst into Manya's room, who stood up, shocked. Akash chased after him and saw Manya.
M: AKASH!
A: MANYA!
Manya was about to run towards Akash when Karan grabbed her arm. He took out a gun and held Manya's neck.
A: KARAN!
K: Chod dho, Akash! Tumne Manya ko bahut daffa cheena hai mujhse! Aaj nain!
He started to walk out as Akash followed slowly. They stepped out in the woods.
K: Hutt jao, Akash!
Manya suddely elbowed him and pushed him, running away. Karan regained his balance.
K: MANYAA!!!!!
He raised the gun to Akash, pulling the trigger. Akash kicked him as the gun fell to the side. They fought for a while. Suddenly, Karan pushed Akash into a tree. He grabbed a big rock and pounded Akash's head hard. Blood poured out of Akash's head. Karan raced to the gun when suddenly a hand covered it. He looked up, shocked. It was Manya.
She raised the gun at him and he began to laugh.
K: Tum?! Tum maaro gi mujhe!
M: Karan, tum..chale jao yahan se..
K: Teek hai, Manya. Lakein tumhe saath leker jaoon ga! Aur iss-iss Akash ko tho--
He picked up a rock and was about to heave it at Akash, who held his head from the blow. Manya suddenly shot the gun.
It hit Karan directly in the heart. Manya dropped the gun, screaming. Karan fell to the ground, staring at her in shock.
K: Maara bhi tho--dil pe..!!
He suddenly collapsed. Manya raced to Akash and held him.
M: Akash! Tum teek ho na? Yeh hamare saath hi kyun hota hai?! Akash, tum--
Akash smiled in pain.
A: Aye, Cinderella!
Manya yelled for help.
M: KOI HAI!!!
She saw Karan's phone slide out of his pocket. She grabbed it and called for help.
Akash rested his bleeding head in Manya's lap.
M: They're--they're coming, Akash! They--
A: Aye, Cinderella! K-koi darr na-nain!
Manya stared at him as he laughed.
A: Ankh kholoon tera chehra nazar aye, ankh bandh karun tho tere sapne mujhe ayein. Darr nahin hai mujhko marne ka, agar kaffan na mile, tho tera aanchal mil jaye..
Manya shook her head, crying. He raised his blood in his hand and filled her "maang."
Sirens sounded in the distance as Manya looked up at the sky.
M: Nain, Akash..main tumhe kuch nain hone dhoon gi!
Akash held her waist, hugging her, crying, not in pain, but because he was afraid to leave her....
