Gopi's thoughts went back to the past.

Gopi's only ambition in life was to have a family of her own- a loving husband, two kids and respectable in laws. All the love that she was lacking now would be hers' she would stand by her huz through prosperity and adversity alike. Hers would be a happy family where everyone cared for each other'money was never important to her, all she needed was love // and she got just the opposite//

She used to dream about her future husband every night'and those dreams erased all the humiliation heaped on her by Urmi. // Kannadigas please remember Omme ninna kannu thumbha from the movie Gaalimaathu. Plz put Gopi in Lakshmi's place//. Her husband- her saathiya would be by her side throughout her life. Love,loyalty,trust 'and ecstacy of being one..

Her heart was filled with joy when her marriage was fixed'she hadn't seen Ahem but that didn't stop her from falling hopelessly in love with him'. He was going to be her husband!!! Gopi's heart beat faster at that thought' she would then be his in every sense of the word.

Gopi couldn't take her eyes away from Ahem during their engagement ceremony' he was so good looking. Love made Gopi think that he was the most handsome man on the earth. The world looked rosy to her''.Ahem's coldness towards her made all her dreams crash. The world of love she had dreamt of was a mirage.

She spent her wedding night crying for the man who slept on the couch without uttering a single word . Let alone lifting the veil, he didn't even glance at her. That was an indicator of the days to come. They never shared a marital bed. She remained untouched and unloved even after two years of marriage. Her husband longed to be with another woman..all his love was reserved for her. He would never accept her..and now that Anita stays in MM, she felt like a trespasser in her own room.

Gopi was magnetically attracted to Ahem in spite of all the negative vibes he radiated. She felt that her husband was incredibly handsome- like a Greek God. His chiseled features awoke the woman in her and made the separation unbearable..Her heart and soul loved him 'and body lusted for him. Keeping those feelings hidden was very difficult. Anita's presence was now making her feel guilty about even looking at Ahem'she felt as if she was eyeing someone else's husband. Something told her that desiring intimacy with Ahem was a sin under the present circumstances.

Her friend Komal got married a few months after her and is now a mother' Gopi had visited her last month and remained sad ever since. Komal doted on her daughter and when Gopi lifted the baby she opined "Gopi you are great with kids. Why are you still using contraceptives? Just throw them away and have at least two kids. They will make your marriage even stronger and give a new meaning to your life" Gopi smiled- what else could she have done? Confess to her that she is still a virgin and will remain so till the end..Kanhaji has decided to deprive her of the pleasures of motherhood.

It was very difficult to let Ahem go someone else'but his heart belonged there and she was only delaying the inevitable by clinging on to the marriage. "Kanhaji will I remain an orphan throughout my life? I am a parasite who is feeding on Rashi ben's blood. I don't want to stress her with my woes anymore'please show me a way out Kanhaji. I will set Ahemji free and spend the rest of my life serving destitute.

//Ahem entered the bedroom hoping to find Gopi there'he continued his search on not finding Gopi there. The thought that she might be in the bathroom didn't cross him. He noticed Gopi's mangalsutra on the dressing table and felt hurt by what he saw as Gopi's decision of doing away with mangalsutra..the one he tied on her neck. Ahem's male ego saw it as Gopi's way of rejecting him//

Ahem stepped into the garden to see if Gopi was there..he heard a man's voice, he turned and saw Prem talking to Rashi. He thought that Gopi must be with them but Prem's words made him stop and hide near a tree' Koki had instilled a loathing for evesdroppers in Ahem but today jealousy made him overcome it. Rashi and Prem were lost in their conversation and the topic was undoubtedly Gopi. Ahem saw red.
