Ahem and gopi stood there staring at each for a minute. Ahem has become happy as he thought that he was going to get married to gopi. kokila saw jigar enter the room and still had not come. kokila turned around only to see that ahem was satnding at the door.
KOKILA : Ahem, come inside quickly. Urmilla ben, this is my son Ahem and i have come to see your daughter rashi for ahem.
URMILLA: Indeed, your son is very handsome. Gopi...could please go call your sister rashi please.
GOPI: Ji mami ji.
ahem was gobsmacked, he was not here for gopi but for his girlfriends sister. he could never let this happen. gopi brought rashi out, she could see that ahem was not impressed with the current situation. rashi was looking very beautiful, she greeted everyone politely and spoke only when necesarry. kokila was already impressed. gopi and rashi came out with the snacks and chai. urmilla told kokila how both her daughters have made the food. kokila was very impressed with their cooking skills.
gopi and rashi went and stood in the corner. rashi was standing there nervously. whereas gopi started to feel dizzy. she excused herself and went outside to get some fresh air. ahem took full advantage of this and told kokila that he left his phone in the car and he is meant to receive an important call. he too excused himself and went outside. he saw gopi, she looked pale and teary eyed.
AHEM: Gopi, dont worry, i am never going to let this marriage happen. trust me.
GOPI: No ahem, i cant do this to my sister. she is going to get really heartbroken. ahem..i cant just break her heart after telling her that everything is going to be alright...no ahem, no. i'm sorry but out love ends here.
leaving a speechless ahem, gopi went back inside and stood next to rashi. from the corner of her eye she could see that jigar was staring at her. gopi started to feel a little awkaward. kokila was waiting eargerly for her ahem dikra to come inside so that she could announce the big news. Ahem came inside, staring at gopi with an expression saying it all. gopi knew that ahem will not back out of this love so easily. kokila saw ahem coming and was happy.
KOKILA: Urmilla ben, i am proud to announce that i accept you daughter rashi to become my daughter-in-law.
URMILLA: Kokila ben, i am ever so greatful to you for accepting my daughter.
kokila walked towards rashi, she lifted up her hands and placed tha kangan on rashis wrist herself. rashi touched kokila's feet for blessing. kokila smiled at rashi and told her that she should be proud of herself. rashi looked at gopi and gave her the biggest smile ever. gopi gave rashi a big smile back. ahem was observing gopi. How could she smile like that? Does she not care about how I feel about this relationship? Ahem thought all this to himself.
KOKILA: Ahem, Mota bhabi, Jigar, we should go now.
Jigar quickly whispered something into his mother's ear.
JIGAR: Wait Kaki ji.
Hetal stood and started walking towards gopi, she lifter up her hand and before gopi knew it the kangan was placed on her wrist. gopi looked at her wrist then at Hetal with her widened with shock. ahem too couldnt beleive what just happened.
HETAL: Urmilla ben, i too accept your daughter gopi to become my daughter-in-law. gopi is a lovely young girl and jigar and i have fallen in love with her.
URMILLA: Thank you so much Hetal ben, you have taken my worries away. once again, thank you so much Kokila and Hetal ben.
KOKILA: Urmilla ben, its okay. we are accepting your daughters not as daughter in laws but as daughters to us. Urmilla ben, we should be leaving now. Jai shree krishna
URMILLA: Jai shree krishna.
As the modi family walked out, ahem and jigar turned around and gave gopi a last glance.
