Also in the past when her mother says that Kanjoos of a husband of yours, Rashi quickly defends him to say don't say that sort of thing about him his not like that...she cares something for him, but hasn't identified what it is and now she loves having money and prestige and she stands to loose that right, so she is concerned with keeping that intact.
