Hey guys thanks for all the lovely comments. Here is the next part. I know it's a little short. Didn't have much time but I promise the next chapter will be extra long. Enjoy and please comment.

Chapter Two

Koki woke up that morning with a heavy heart. She recalled the events from the previous night and her heart grew heavy. She had grown to love Gopi like a daughter, but she had really disappointed her last night. Why had she done that? Had she not loved her enough? Had she not shown her how important she was for her and her family, especially her dikhra? Maybe she had been a little strict on her but that was for her own good. She needed to learn not to trust everyone blindly, especially those trying to hurt her. A part of her still didn't want to believe it and she never would have if she hadn't seen it with the photos. There was no doubt about it, it was Gopi in those pictures and she had been caught red-handed. She had brought her into this house with such high hopes thinking she would be the perfect bride for her son. She realized that for the first time in her life she had made a mistake. She had ruined her son's life and happiness by bringing that girl into this house. She was nothing like she thought. She turned out to be a completely different person.

"I'm going to rectify this. Aur who bhi aaj. I'm going to make sure my Ahem dikhra is happy again. I'm going to get rid of that girl. Kick her out of this house and my son's life." She got up from her bed and went into the washroom to freshen up. She had a lot to do today. She was already late getting up, but after the events of last night she needed a few extra minutes to herself this morning. She quickly washed up and went into the kitchen to prepare the morning tea for her son. On her way down the stairs she ran into someone. She looked up to see none other than Ahem.

"Ahem beta, what are you doing up so early? I was just going down to start your breakfast. Did you want anything?"

"No mom. I just couldn't sleep so I went for an early morning jog. I am just going to go freshen up. I have to get to the office early. I have some work I need to finish up before my meeting with some very important clients."

"Wait dikhra. I need to speak with you. Let's go into your room." He led her into the room and she started right away. She needed to get this out before she ran into anyone else in the house, especially Gopi. "I'm sorry Ahem. Can you ever forgive me? Ever since you were little I carefully selected everything for you from your toys to your clothes and you never once complained. I made a really big mistake in choosing Gopi and I'm sorry for that. But don't you worry. I will fix this. I will get her out of your life and let you choose your own partner. I should have done it from the beginning. I should have trusted your choice. Can you ever forgive me?" She was crying and slowly fell into the bed.

"Mom, don't do this to yourself. Gopi had all of us fooled. You don't have to worry about that illiterate anymore. She no longer lives under this roof. She left this house by herself. We no longer have to feel any shame because of her. Hetal Kaki found her clothes and everything gone from her room this morning. She told me before I left for my run. I'm sure everyone else knows by now as well. It's good that she left out of her own free will because after what she did only a shameless girl would have the guts to face this family again. We can get on with our lives Mom." Koki was so happy because her son was finally happy. She was going to make sure he stayed that way.

"Finally we will get on with our lives. Come down for your breakfast. I have a lot to do as well. If you can, please come home as early as possible today. There are still lots of preparations left for Kinjal's wedding left. I wanted to discuss some things with you."

"Okay Mom. I will get home as fast as I can tonight. And mom, please don't worry anymore. She is gone. We will never have to worry about her ever again." She smiled at her son before walking out of the room. A small figure was listening in on the conversation between mother and son all the while smirking as everything was going according to plan.

Yep has to be Rashi................I wonder what Gopi was caught in the act doing (Kokila mentioned photos of Gopi that have disappointed her.......Aham mentioned shameful to face everyone in the house after being caught that way). Has to be a theft or adultery.

Thanks guy for all of your lovely comments. You guys really make me want to continue writing. Here is the next part. Enjoy and please comment.

Chapter Three

"Gopi Beta please just a little? I only want a little bit and I won't ask for anything else."

"No Baba. You know the doctor told you not to eat any sweets. It's not good for your health. Here drink this. I made it especially for you. It's good for you. I know you don't like this, but please drink it for me?" She gave her Baba her best puppy dog face. She knew he couldn't deny her anything. Their bond was getting stronger and stronger day by day. She knew he loved her like his own daughter and he made sure that not even the shadow of her past life touched her in this new one. She had grown to love him like her own father. He was her world now. She didn't know what she would do if she lost him as well. His health was growing weak and she knew it. Sanjeev took the glass from her hand and drank it. He would do anything for his daughter. Calling her that made his heart fill with love. The more he got to know her the more he realized how tortured she had been growing up. Her Mami worked her like a servant and never let her learn to even read or write. Her husband never accepted her and treated her like she didn't matter. He didn't know any of those people, but he hated them. He hated what they had done to his daughter and he swore that if he ever met any of them he would make them pay for what they had done to his sweet child.

"Gopi beta is Rahul coming today for your daily lessons?" He smiled as he said that. He knew why Rahul was so punctual when it came to Gopi.

"Nahi Baba. He had an important meeting with a client. He said he would be by later tonight." He smiled at the thought of Rahul. Rahul was one of his best workers. He had worked his way up the ladder at Shah Industries and now he was the President of the company. He was a dedicated worker and one of the few people in his life that he could rely on. He knew Rahul was slowly falling for Gopi, who wouldn't? She was such a caring individual. You had to be a fool not to notice such a precious gem. He knew Rahul was smitten from the moment he met Gopi. He could tell by the way his face lit up. He had diligently worked along with Gopi to teach her to read and write. In fact no one would believe that Gopi was illiterate just a few weeks back. Now she was even helping with some of the workload in his office. Sanjeev was really proud of his daughter. He knew Gopi would have achieved a lot if she had been given the opportunity. 'Don't worry Gopi beta. I will give you everything that you have been denied in your old life. I love you beta. In just a few weeks you have grown to be the most important person in my life.' Gopi didn't talk much about her old life and he didn't have the heart to ask as she would get sad for days on end after the mere mention of it. He hated when she got like that so he never pried. He wished he knew who these people were so he could find them and make them pay for what they had done to his daughter, but he knew she would never forgive him if he did. His daughter's heart was so big that even after everything she had endured she still loved each and every one of them. He knew she loved her husband still and would never be able to give his place to anyone else. This is why he felt bad for Rahul. Rahul was falling in love with Gopi, but Gopi would never be able to love Rahul. She only loved her husband and she always would. To her Rahul was simply a friend. If only Sanjeev could change that he would. He wanted Gopi to find another saathiya. One that would love her, respect her, and more importantly never leave her side.

The sound of the doorbell interrupted his thoughts. Gopi left to answer the door and he looked around to see if he could sneak any sweets while she was gone

"You're not going to find what you're hunting for Baba. I already put away all the sweets so you can stop looking." Gopi yelled back as she was going towards the door.

"You're no fun Beta!" He pouted back at Gopi. "I only wanted a taste." He laughed at how well she knew him. He went back to eating his theplas. He loved Gopi's cooking. That girl really had magic in her hands. Everything she made was delicious whether it was an original recipe or she was experimenting with something new. She was learning new things left and right and she loved every second of it.

Gopi pulled open the door and was surprised at her early morning visitor. "Kamya! What are you doing here? I thought you have gone to visit your uncle in Delhi. When did you get back?"

"Gopi I was supposed to go but something came up and we didn't end up going. I have some exciting news for you. I'm getting married! We finalized it all yesterday. I'm here to tell you to be ready in three hours. I'm going to swing around after work to come and pick you up. We are going shopping! Okay, I just stopped by to give you the good news. I'm getting late for work. Papa will kill me if I'm later again today. I'll call you in a little bit. Be ready darling." Gopi laughed as she shut the door behind her. Kamya was a crazy girl but she had grown to be a really good friend. She had met her through her Baba. Kamya's dad was a good client of Baba's and they had met at one of her Baba's many parties. At first they used to simply mingle at the parties gossiping about how boring they were and how shameless the other daughters were throwing themselves at the business men. Pretty soon they had grown to be really close friends. Gopi was really happy for her. She knew Kamya had waited a long time for this. She wondered who her parents had chosen for her. The sound of her Baba's voice pulled her from her thoughts.

"Gopi beta have you seen this morning's paper? I wanted to read it before going into the office this morning. Can you please fetch it for me?" Gopi went into the living room and grabbed the morning paper. As she was walking towards the dining room something in the paper caught her eye. What she saw shook her whole world apart.

"No this can't be true," she cried. She dropped the paper and ran outside. She needed air. She felt like she was going to suffocate. Sanjeev heard the commotion and ran after his daughter "How can this be Baba? Am I a horrible person? Why is it that anytime I feel even slightly happy in life it all gets snatched away from me? Why Baba why?" She sobbed into his shoulder and clutched onto him for dear life. Sanjeev felt his heart breaking for his daughter. What had she seen in that paper to make her get like this? He didn't know what to say to make Gopi feel better so he just held her while she cried. Whatever it was he was going to get to the bottom of it. Someone was going to pay for every single tear that his daughter had shed. He would make sure of it!
