Ok guys, I had heard a lot about how now a days pundit's in India do a lot of
things based on money but I've just never been one to believe it. After all,
faith is faith and it's just lowly and disguisting to think such a holy person,
who calls himself a pundit would do such a thing. But today's episode is
making me sick. Shubra offering the Pundit MORE money? Either the Saath
Phere Team has lost their head or this whole faith thing...it's more
complicated than I thought. 🤢

i agree. completely. Why can't they leave people's faith alone. But now serial have not left any profession pure. doctor's change results, panditji change kundlis for money. How far our serials will go.

I agree. They should not be relaying such wrong messages on daily dramas or movies, what are they trying to do...telling us never to trust pandits anymore? or doctors, or childhood friends???

Yes it happens in few cases. But that does not mean all priests are bad. If we loose faith in gurus and priests. Where will we be. Media hypes this kind of news and movies and serials use it as it is everyday's affair. It is so shameful.

Thanks for the feedback guys, good to know I'm not the only one that feels
that way. I know on a trip to India a few years back, I went to the Ganges
with my family. I could not believe how my pundits there were offering this
puja or that puja. It's true, ramas, if we loose faith in gurus and priests,
where will we be? I mean, for me, faith is what keeps me going...just having
faith is huge. The media is a huge influence on how we perceive things.

actually this happens more than you can imagine. because talking about being sexually abused is considered taboo in our culture a lot of people don't speak up against it.

and by them showing one pundit accepting doesn't mean they're implying that all priests are bad just like showing a good pundit doesn't mean that all of them are good.

this is a part of reality and they were just showing reality. we shouldn't read so much into what they show.

i personally don't have ANY faith in any guru or priest not because of some soap but because of the reality out there, because of what i've witnessed. all i need is faith in myself and my god.

I too agree with you. I am only alive because of my faith. I am not particularly blind about any gurus or pundits. But as for living in the west. I realize how important these gurus are and what they have done for us. They have brought our culture and religion to us and place for us to visit when we are tired and unhappy. Every time I visit temple I feel like all my pain, sorrows and worries are gone and feel at peace. Also it is a place where our children learn values. We teach them but the temple classes or other religious classes enforces them or solidifies them. This is only possible because of gurus who had vision to spread our religion as we or our children can not visit India.

I am talking about gurus like prabhupad, pramukh swami maharaj and pandurang shastri who establish swadhyay. I consider them next to bhagwan if not bhagwan and much much higher soul than myself.
