The actor believes negative spells success in tellydom.

If playing vamp Komolika in 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay' gave Urvashi Dholakia cult status, then playing the vile Kaveri in 'Saat Phere' has won Anchal Dwivedi much popularity. Playing protagonist Saloni's (Rajshri Thakur) bhabhi in the Zee show, Anchal lends the plot high drama.

The girl from Etawah, a small town near Kanpur, looks back, "I came to Mumbai four years back and completed my graduation here. Initially my family resisted my decision to move to the city as they were not keen about my staying alone. But they became supportive later on." She traces her entry into showbiz, "I started going to production houses for auditions and got selected for three shows. But currently I am concentrating only on 'Saat Phere'."

Anchal says that playing bad is no mean task, "Undoubtedly it is a tough job. But let's admit that bad girls are responsible for pushing the TRPs of a number of shows." The frizzy-haired actor who flaunts bright saris and armlets adds, "You have to look good and act well too. My look in the serial has been worked upon carefully by my designer." She adds, "I have to use bad language in my scenes with Rajshri. So the moment the shot is over, I apologise to her."

Off-screen Anchal is a different person altogether. "I love western wear and I am not at all a bad girl," she asserts.

On a parting note, Aanchal adds, "Sadia Sidiqqui (Buasa) is my best friend at work. We have lunch together and even share a make-up room
