singers r not about getting everything in one since most singers r better at one genre and most music directors get singers that fit there song type

so mussarat is an asset to the music industry and he should stay

so ur comment about the ten itmes in one place makes little sense in singing since not every singer can can sing every song

aneek couldnt sing nusrat fateh ali songs

im not dissing aneek ofcourse he has an awesome voice

but he is in genre of sonu nigam type singing so he'll have difficulty getting in the industry

anyways best of luck mussarat!

well said...totally agree with u👏 when music directors approach singers, they find the best singer in those type of songs..they don't look at their versatility..plus it's not like old days where one singer used to sing all songs of the movie..now they have different singers for each song of the movie!!😃

then mauli should be on her way to houston by now right?

and lets remember aneek is a champion and mussarat can still level him.

ANEEK CANNOT SING ANY TYPE OF SONG! i would love to hear aneek sing a classical urdu song or even a Nusrat song. he cant do that.

I agree with him to an extent. There should be some versatility in a singer. I think it used to be true with the singers in the 60s and 70s but nowadays you have singers who can only sing a specific type of song. Plus with the popularity of loud remixes and bhangra type songs in movies, people have stopped paying attention to voice quality. SGMP is probably moving toward that as well - they are looking for people who can sing a good remix and not really lend their voice to a good song. We are seeing that shift.

Because the quality of these items will differ.. "All in one" items never function properly.. always giving problems.. 😃..😆

correctly said Vikram👏

seems people are forgetting hw much Vishal was against Mauli ;
Yesterday Anubhav Sinha also supported HR against VS for versatality thing....If versatality beocme strict then I dont think anyone else except Aneek & Amanat is versatile too😕

Actually Himesh is right from a industry standpoint, yes if these contestants have to sustain in this industry, they have to specialize in one genre first and then branch out in other places.

However here on this show the contestants are in a talent hunt, they are supposed to bare their talent in front of everyone, the public, MD's have to choose based upon what they have bared in front of them

so the public and mahaguru's should have been eliminating contestants based upon their entire body of work, in that logic the very first contestants never got to show their versatility

however thr logic of eliminating contestants here is eliminate someone who was the worst that week, if that is the logic the contestants would be fools to fall in the trap of versatality

the choice is between winning the contest or showing your talent

If Winning the contest is the most important thing, stay with the genre that you are best at

If you want to bare your talent and improve with the help of these mentors, be versatile

Himesh wants to spend less time with his contestants and wants to ensure his guys win, versatality gayi tel lagane

to each their own, I prefer contestants who concentrate less on the prize and more on improving themselves

well ... i think himesh is spot on with these comments.... 😛
no imm not a die hard himesh fan
but still wat is right is right...like mussarat is a gr88 singer but is not trained .In the language of music... his voice lacks 'thehraaav' but has the so called 'khanak' especially in the high notes...which he utilizes well to get even the sur's right ...
also the in born high pitching throat gives him that edge over others.... i mean if all the other singers are told to sing a high 'pitch' song like maa tujhe salaam in the same 'scale' then musarrat wud stand out, because of this inherent quality..
And this is wat himesh wants to emphasize... as he knows that in low scale mussarat goes flat and also offbeat sometimes... his voice starts to shiver ,because singing in low notes is tougher than vice versa... So himesh wants him to capitalize on his strenghts...
Even Raja ..who in my view is the best singer out of the lot .... sings all his song in a lower scale than mussarat... So i think.. mussarat shd now stick to singing songs sung by nusrat, rahet, kailash kher ,a.r.rahman,and sukhwinder ...not rafi ..kishore etc ...

himesh is back to his roti arguement of course a much much mellowed down himesh.
Such demeanour cuts ice with viewwers- and even I tend to agree with him sometimes.Rules should apply to everybody- How about dear mauli for a change? every mentor goes overboard to protect her genre- and what may I ask is
that genre??ITEM SONGS AND EVEN parde mein rehne do which is a naughty bubbly song is torn asunder and converted into a disgusting item number.I am truly enraged
😡 😡 - so much for being Impartial.

"Jack of all trades master of none" is applicable only in the last century when they had no budgets for several singers. These are times of specialization and the music industry has grown. Although Himesh is right yet we cannot say Vishal is completely wrong either. It helps if a singer is more versatile like Himesh himself who writes songs, sings them and also acts; very soon he will be directing and who knows may even run for the President or Prime Minister. 😆 😆 😆
