Is it me or everyone here mesmerized by Poonam's singing ability?
She is, in one word, outstanding. And very consistent from the very first performance.
And that beautiful tonal quality is a gift of God.
None of the other female singers including one-song-wonder Mauli Dave or anyone else is miles apart.
Talking about deserving candidates, there are some guys though, who are so good, they make me fall in love with some songs which I would have skipped otherwise. (the music directors should give them royalty for that). Raza Hasan, Amanat Ali, Junaid, and the little hero Aneek are few ... thanks guys for making SRGMP 2007 a pleasure to watch!
I know in coming weeks and months, it'll be painful to see some of my favs get booted out, but that's part of the ever-unfair public judgement. But never mind getting to the top of SRGMP, because the deserving candidates (in Vishaal-Shekhar, I trust), will be heard in coming years in soundtracks.
