OKIe Guys someone has to help me out on this one.. something is not right .. i cant seem to find the orginal track .. so someone plz listen to her.. and tell me what is wrong.. cuz i know somethign is . the first note she sang .. did not seem right to me.. i know i am not going crazy here.. She has sung it very well on both high and low notes. Had a little difficulty on Shankar's part which goes "dhere nanana na dhere na", but otherwise really good. This is a really tough song and no one can do it without classical training.

Okie i guess than it is me .. i personal loved the original.. and i dont know .. maybe it is me .. but i did not like it .. something was not right.. her pitch .. the scale she sang it in .. .. i dont know .... i dont know .. i cant in point it .. but i will find out..

she may have picked a different scale.

also, she did not stretch out her words like Ustad Sultan Khan, Kavita and Shankar do in the original. that may be the difference.

Go to musicindiaonline.com and in the search boxes choose Ham Dil De Chuke Sanam and then choose Hindi/Bollywood and in the last box choose movie name before clicking on search. You will get the full lists of all the songs of that movie.

This song is sung by Sultan Khan, Shankar Mahadevan and Kavita Krishnamurty. The raga of this song is Asavari. Mauli did ok but not very spectacular. She spent more time on the Mukhda and very little on bols which in my opinion accentuates the raga and makes it livelier. Considering it is live and one person doing 3 people's job is not that bad.

good attempt, Parthiv was much better, but not bad by Mauli too, she shouldnt attempt this at SRGMP though.

ID had to do a walkout to save Debo when he sang the qawalli, Bappida is not going to do that for her

She certainly ain't in the class of Debo, but nobody is in C2007, that is beside the point

anyways the comparision to the qawalli was b'cos both of these songs are semiclassical songs with multiple singers singing in tandem and a single singer attempting it even in a decent form deserves kudos, people will look for mistakes and there will be abundance of them in song such as this
