No, I didn't learn classical music seriously. If at all I learnt it, it was for a mere 6 months and that too between exams (first my 10th standard exams and later my final year BA exams) years ago! But, I have always been a music aficionado - especially Hindustani and western classical music and of course Hindi film songs.

Songs of the 1950s, 1960s and part of 1970s (i.e. RDB phase) are my favourite and possibly the only eras of Hindi film music that I listen to. From 1980s to date, I have heard very few songs, because I haven't found many worth listening to, frankly. Shankar Mahadevan's music is brilliant though.

I have loved Rafi, Lata, Asha, Kishore, Hemant among others. So, it's really tough to choose. But, somehow I have found all songs by Talat very melodious and sweet. There are very few of his songs that I don't like!
