After that Sanu is shown giving the green card to Twinkle. If Sanu wanted to give Twinkle a green card, why did he say "bahut dukh ke saath ..." ? I think Sanu wanted to give Twinkle the yellow card but was stopped in time by Khayyam who wanted to give the green card to Twinkle. this seems to have irked Adesh and Jatin who got into an argument with Khayyam . Sanu is a part of the judges panel so he supported Khayyam's decision and abided by it . Looks like we will have to see Uncensored to get the whole story.
I agree. There must have been somthing more than what we are offered to see. Twinkle was good in expressions only but hardly appealed to me with her singing. She was also greatly supported by good catchy music. Wheras Himani sang a more difficult number. And going by the advantage once she had because of choosing a more difficult number(daiya re main kaha aa fansi) when Swnanda had also sang sooooo well, I guess Himani should have been in, with the same logic! I wonder how same singer gets advantage both ways when she sang tough one and when she did not! I do not like her attitude as well. When mentors were criticising on he singing, she was giving a strange kind of facial expression as if she did not care much about them! The biggest problem she has crated fo herself is that AS and JL both do not like her so much and if she needs a break they are the ones who make tunes suited to her. She can be at the best an item number singer. Himani will come back and give her a fight someday. Twinkle will be exposed moment same song she is asked to sing together with others. She chooses songs of her own comfort and we will see her "real" performance when she will be given fight on equality.
Among boys, Debu was good but he has been always without feelings. IMHO, these four singers and Irfan are not going to make to the final four. But let us see. Rajev is very unpredictable. I know he sings "besura" but believe me, his voice has a very different kind of "kashish" and that mesmarizes anyone. He is "truest" and "natural" singer. He will go a long way among all of these contestants. There will be many such challanges (2006, 2007...like Antakshari..may be for next 10 years, Zee is known to extract as much as they can!),and evey year there will be few winners but rarely one would come across singers of Rajeev's calibre. He is "the" find of Challange 2005, IMHO.
But I felt that Debu deserved yesterday, so I voted for Debu and Himani.
Now I hear that they have got Blue card, I am satisfied but still this result will not "undo" the bad decsion given against them on previous day , which I feel was a mistake by judges.
Regarding judges and mentors argument, I need to say one thing. Why people in India do not like highlighting his/her strengths and fighting for it? Why people think that if a "bujurg" has said something, people should just take it with no arguments? Why people should not highlight and say about his/her strengths in public? It is a competition, afte all and they are contestants! We need to come out of that mind set. Also judges have not been able to come out with their rationale behind their (poor) judgements, when confronted. Why Khaiyaam could not give a reply to AS when he was so humble in questioning about the decision? The reason for that is lack of judgemental power. Why can't they decide in the beginning what they want from the singers and say to all the contestants that "guys, our judging criteria will be this this and this..." Why they take a decision at the very end and pick both flags and wonder which one to give to which one! And then do the mistake!!! People might have diferent opinions on it but I feel that AS had all the rights to ask. After all he was very right in saying that many of them have chosen this as their career! Ujjaini had to drop out from school only to meet with a "stupid" mistake by Daler to cost her the place in the competition in spite of very good performance. I feel that judges, mentors and participants need to mature in the order!!! Someone compared with cricket and umpire. So ICC rule applies to the players but not to the Team Management whan they lodge a complain formally! So whan AS was doing it, it was kind of that and would have been a problem if Himani herself would have questioned the decision. I do not see anything wrong in this kind of arguments. Just my opinion. BTW when Sanu said that parent should not priase their kids and blah blah..he should rewind the tape and see how much he praises about himself time and again. He brags about himself so much but the reality is that today he hardly gets a few songs to sing..! I remember him saying once that if he was born before Kishore da, he would have been even better singer....phew....Kaha raja bhoj aur kaha Gangu teli....he should know that when he points finger to someone the other four fingers point to him only!!!!!
