Sony is better right now.. what are they doing for Rupu and Qazi ?! Abhijit Sawant all said and done isn't such a bad singer.. him Lafzon mein, Mohabattein Lutaunga aren't that bad so they are caching on him.. Poor Rups and Qazi.. na ata na pata !!!

Lets see what they do to Sandeep..

Zee is just silly, I mean you have such good talent, they are just horrible at marketting it !!!

I dont think singers will go to II, I mean SRGMP is SRGM.. it was the show tat produced Shreya, Kunal, Shraadha and Swetha Pandit, Sanjeevani, Md. Vakeel.. Hemu, Vinit, Ujjaini, Himani, Nihira, Rajeev all sang for movies between the challenge days.. how many of II 1 contestants sang good songs for movies ?! Alag songs were pretty good... Himani's thumri was really appreciated.. Vinit doesnt need a song.. HR is gonna make a star out of him ! Wish SRGM promoted these singers more..

You are damn right. Karunya was pathetic on the Bluffmaster song. Hema was the best in that song, but I give more credit to Debu. Debu sang both the male and female portions, while Hema and Karunya sang only the male portions.

And don't even get me started on the besura king II-1. 😆

Karunya was good in the Bluffmaster song. I liked it! It's just that his voice isn't deep enough like Hema's, which it would sound much better in because Abhishek's voice was deep too.

Think how much does one make singing playback? Alisha Chinai(been around the block more than the lives of these contestants, besides Debo) made 25000 rupees for that song in Bunty and Babli

The point is

Promises made/vs delivarance

Sony is very proffesional and very clear/Zee is not

If I was a contestant, I would see this, Zee says it promotes better singers, but in reality it is more concerned about TRP's so it wants me to perform, do extra-curricular stuff, but still I have no guarantee of winning and even if I win the channel would never follow-up on the promises

so If Iwere to be like Sharib/Hema(or even maybe Vineet) where I have a good voice, I can perform too, if someone moulds me correctly. I will go to II-2

If I were to be someone like a Nihira, I will stick to SRGMP(I know Farah will personally escort me out of the door😉 if I were to even get close to the Indian Idol facility)

ii2 does not compare to srgmp.its like comparing vinit to mohd rafi 😆 .can u believe the contestants actually danced for a song which was sung by kunal ganjawala.forgot the song.anyways debo is much better than sandeep.and vinit is also slightly better than karunya

SAREGAMAPA is the BEST !!!! .... INDIAN IDOL is nowhere near SRGMP ....

No doubt about it - saregemapa finale was way better than II-2 finale. however what i really liked about II-2 finale was the attitude of karunya on losing, he looked happy for sandeep, was smiling throughout and all the contestants mingled with each other so well. in saregamapa, vinit was not only crying, he, himani & HR were standing seperately as if some great injustice was done to them. when you leave a competition result to public, you have to accept the verdict with grace. I really admired karunya for this.

We all know that saregamapa is better than indian idol. But ,especially when u compare the finals of saregamapa and indianidol, one can clearly see the difference. Even abhijeeth sawant was not upto the mark compared to rajeev when he sang rang de basanti. And the other contestants are also below par the standards. I felt most of the top12 contestants wouldnt have passed the first round.

Hemu and debo were far better than karunya when u compare how they sang the song from bluffmaster.karunya may be better while singing classical songs,but couldnt perform modren songs on bigstage which was so important.

I disagree with you about Debojit being better than Karunya. Debo's voice quality is good, but no way he was better than Karunya or Amey for that matter. Infact in II2 Karunya and AMey were better than most SRGMP participants except Hema and Nihira

DEbojit/Sandeep/Abhijit/Qazi are an example of Inidan public music inclinations and taste. go figure!!!!

i will not say debojit was/is better than karunya, but definitely he is good singer and has a lovely voice - please do not compare him with the likes of qazi, etc. although he was not very consistent initially, he has sung beautifully many times,
