SAREGAMAPA finals vs INDIAN IDOL finals

Hello everybody,

We all know that saregamapa is better than indian idol. But ,especially when u compare the finals of saregamapa and indianidol, one can clearly see the difference. Even abhijeeth sawant was not upto the mark compared to rajeev when he sang rang de basanti. And the other contestants are also below par the standards. I felt most of the top12 contestants wouldnt have passed the first round.

Hemu and debo were far better than karunya when u compare how they sang the song from bluffmaster.karunya may be better while singing classical songs,but couldnt perform modren songs on bigstage which was so important.

I felt it was one of worst finals,except for one or two performances. Overall I want to say is the quality of singers at saregamapa was far far better than indian idol in noth the departments , singing and performance.

May be this question have been asked many times, as I am new to the forum ,after watching indian idol finals, I seriously wanted to know the opinions abou this.

Yes your right. We've discussed this many times that SRGMP singers are the best. They are extremely talented.
Plus, the finals were sooo good in SRGMP. I think all agree with you.

Sa ra ga ma singers are much better.

Of course,.....................SAREGAMA singers are far much much better than INDIAN IDOL..................SAREGAMA constants are so so so talented at such a young age.............they even get training from India's top music directors for 8 months..........I love SAREGAMA............

I think nd can probally prove that ppl who audition for II, have been trained but more than being actual singers just like to sing. Where as SRGMP are trained singers who have real potential to become the new singers.
***Also SRGMP was there first then American Idol copied that, then II followed...**

I think its a taken that SRGMP singers are better than the indian Idol ones.

Indian Idol singers are more pop album singers while SRGMP singers are more for playback singing.

SRGMP finals was super compared to the II finals..
infact your statment about most of the singers wont make to top 12 is kinda true..
Jolly Das who couldnt take part in galas because of chicken pox didnt even make it to the gharana selection of SRGMP !

You are damn right. Karunya was pathetic on the Bluffmaster song. Hema was the best in that song, but I give more credit to Debu. Debu sang both the male and female portions, while Hema and Karunya sang only the male portions.

And don't even get me started on the besura king II-1. 😆

right... but hema also did sing the female part... the "right here right now, hain kushi ka samaa" part... 😉

rach_nir is right appaji, the first time Hemu performed he sang both male and female parts !!!

I thought he was a notch better than Debu because he modulated his voice better.. Debu sounded the same when he sang both male and female part !! When Hemu sang it, it sounded like 2 different singers !

Karunya was strictly ok..but he was better than every1 else today.. Abhijit Sawant was AWFUL.. i wish amit sana would have come :(
