I thought Hema's was sooooo smooth, and well done. I completely forgot to mention his Ramta jogi and Mitwa, those were hard too. Ramta jogi was very well done. Do you rememeber how Sandee from II2 messed up Mitwa... 😆

I have never seen this happen before in II or in FG where people voted for their 'prant'.. agreed in FG voting was for someother reason.but atleast not because of prant..

sme with II 1, it was singing that mattered.. Abijit Sawant and Amit Sana were dark horses but they churned out one good performance after the other and made judges eat their words... They totally deserved to be in final 2..

if Amey and Karunya are not in final 2.. its a loss for good singing..

I feel Sonu is a good judge and gives out true constructive criticism. I hope after last nights episode people will listen and vote. I personally believe Nihira and Hema's elimination due to voting has also make II aware of regional issues. Back to Hema I wish AS had really concentrated more in coaching Hema and tested his talent by giving him some more classically difficult songs to showcase his true talent. AS really failed him in that. I truely see the potential in Hema.

Yes. This is a really good thing that they are trying to get the point of this contest across. But I'm not sure if it is really going to change the voting patterns THAT much. The true music lovers will vote for the BEST singer anyways. But the people who are voting for other reasons may not stop doing so, because it is the wrong reason for them to vote for a particular somebody.

I have no doubt that Hema will make it big. His ability to add his own touch to almost every song truely shows his talent. I haven't seen anyone in II2 do that. In SRGMP, probably Himani to some extent.

Kind of out of topic but do you think Antara is a good singer? I have a feeling that she fakes her voice and uses false voice a whole lot. I really dont know what her real voice is and her sur is all over the place. OF course SAndeep and Anuj are the worst. We had better singers in our college orchestra than them. I thought at leaset Meenal had a original voice. They dont even challenge themselves with a little difficult song inspite of repeated comments fromthe judges. It is pathetic and also I feel the more the judges criticise them, may be sympathy votes will come in just to spite the judges. Who knows how the public think?

Indian Idol is pathetic save Amey and Karunya. They should both have been here in SRGMP.
Coming to this topic, Hema's toughest song was "Tum se milka dil..." because for him, he had to sing a different style of song. Technically, he is trained enough to take on any of these songs. I wish he had sung some nice classical based songs of Yesudas or Suresh wadkar. One other movie comes to mind "Sur Sangam" highly classical which he could have sung very well...

I thought Antara sounded very good in the beginning. I really liked some of her initial performances especially her Rangeela title track in the piano round, but since she came to the Gala's she wasn't upto the mark. But she is definitely better than Sandeep and Anuj who just keep sounding worse...

Meenal was really good but in the girls I thought Monali was the best. It is a pity she got voted out so soon. She really deserved to stay for sometime. Her range was very good and she was one singer who could sing classical, semi classical and pop songs with same ease..

Now with Antara getting voted out, if Amey or Karunya get voted outnext week, II and Indian Janta would be at shame..

Its interesting to note that top 5 in SRGMP were so good.. that episode when they sang those 'special' songs by the mentors for Kapil Dev and then int he sad songs episode (elimination of Nihira), I was just sad at the thought of even one of the singers leaving because those 5 were good...

II 1 top 4 were still better, Prajakta, Rahul Vaidya, Amit and Abhijeet consistently proved that they were capable of singing hard songs..

Look at top 4 in II 2.. ANUJ ? SANDEEP ? Amey and Karunya are the only deserving candidates.... if anuj n sandeep dont leave in the next two episodes.. its gonna be a useless final...

I am sure you know it is a remake of the Telugu superhit "Shankarabharanam". SPB sang those songs. It was then that people were stunned by his ability to pull of highly classical numbers.

Karunya have sung much difficult songs than Hema, and thats a fact. I was really impressed to see Karunya pulling the N.Fateh Ali Khan song so well. Karunya does not have the diction problem that Hema had. But Karunya has a little bit of Karan Johar touch 😉 , which I don't like.

yes i agree with you if hema and karunya were in the same competition and they were the final 2 who would have won? thats a tough one but if you listen carefully its probably karunya that would have one just for one little part: DICTION which hema had trouble with. and yes his 2 N Fateh Ali Khan songs were brilliant!
