Why debo won was not cuz he was better than Himani, or Nhira, or Hemachandra...(or even Vinit, but i dont want to make my friend mad again 😛)..anyways.. he won cuz he got more votes from people.. people who had nothing else to do than sitting in front of computers and clicking on buttons or dialing numbers.. ok this was the rule that one with most votes wins.. but if u see it from a different angle...it was supposed to be the best singer who was to win... i know saregama's system blew (like people could vote more that once..blah blah)..but none of the systems works.. i dont care that he won.. but i believe that he didnt deserve it.. cuz i have seen a lot of contestants who were way ahead of debo. i dont think i need to point out the moment when his own mentor walked away.. he knew debo was gonna kicked out.. he didnt walk away cuz other mentors gave debo. low marks.. cuz everyone knows NOBODY cares what other mentors gave... when it came to voting it was people's personal preference.. so he walked out cuz he knew debo was gone, he didnt believe in debo.... but i feel sorry for people who voted debo and gave him the most votes that week.. really sorry for u... i have no words for you.. im just sorry to know that ppl like u exist..sorry.. but thats what i feel and i have the right to express my feelings.. i am fair.. i am not saying vinit shold have won.. i am saying debo shouldnt have.. cuz there were many who were wayyyy better than debo...

now i am ready to recieve attacks.. come and get some!!

With some exceptions, most of the final 12 were good singers vetted by
qualified judges.

I think that Sharib never got the chance to shine by being booted so early.
I think Chandu did shine but the whole walkout thing and then his bad
day after that did not help. I think that Nihira suffered from first being
everyone's pet and then being mishandled by Zee and ID. I think that
everyone thought that Himani was already the winner so why spend
money voting for her.

This whole Northeast stuff is getting tiresome. Once public voting is
introduced and multiple voting is allowed, this was bound to happen.
Equally outrageous are the multiple votes cast by musical know nothing
teeny boppers for Vinit. I still don't understand why more people are not
outraged by the blatant manipulation of these factors for Vinit. HR played
the game so well that Vinit acutally made it to the finals. According to
most of the forum people anyway, the best were Nihira and Chandu,
followed by Himani and then possibly Sharib. So according to their own
standards, Vinit fans would have seen him out much earlier.

It is really hurting to hear this same critical analysis against Debu over and over and over again. This was a musical reality show and things were in peoples hand and they chose their man. Last year when it was in the hands of the experts of the field, there too he was chosen the winner. Also, I don't think people chose him winner just because of his singing skills, there was something else too. I voted him because of his patience, humility and great resolve against all odds and ofcourse singing skills.

I respect your opinion, and I would not have responded, but the bolded part compelled me to respond.

When you know the rules of the game, you play by its rules, no matter how strange they may be.

If you lose the game, it just means that you didn't play well enough. The "better" singers did not stick around because people DID NOT vote for them.

There is NO POINT in complaining or saying that Debo did not deserve to win. Don't feel sorry for the people who voted for DEBO. Feel sorry for the people who simply did not bother to vote for their favourite or even care enough to keep them in the competition.

This game is OVER. Complaining about the outcome is synonymous to crying over spilt milk.

on 1 side i agree wid ya dat himani nihira n hemu r beta than debo BUT vinit is never ever beta than debo...da result between da finals was da right result but if da final was of any of these singers ( sharib nihira hemu n himani) wid debo then i think da other singers should have won bcoz dey r more deserving but now srgmp is over n debo is da winner so y 2 fight on it.......da result is fine n on da oder hand i can say debo is also deserving soooo stop it now!!!!!!!!

I would like to disagree with my fren Adwarak, I feel Vinit sings better and although Pandit Jasraj is a great but he is not the be all and end all of Indian music which is laden with greats like him.
See I will only point out to one fact which I saw in the last 12 challengers. Well Nihira, Vinit and Himani were always scoring very high and most of the times (till the controvery had not kicked in), they were the top students. And if you compare Debo and Vinit (leaving others out). He scored higher marks, I am forced to quote HR, who said that he always got 8 to 10 and never below. Plus Debo was regularly coming in danger zone.

Infact When Shreya, Sunidhi and Kunal were invited as judges, even in that episode Vinit scored 2 points more than Debo (in total). Also, when Pritam, Sandesh & Sandeep were there to Judge, even in that episode Vinit scored higher.
I feel we all have our opinions but I also feel that we should respect the judges and the guests as they may have some more musical knowledge than all of us here in the Forum.
And I feel the best judge on this is a man who has seen all performances and been there always and thats Shaan, if he feel that Himani & Nihira were the best talents, then I think i will accept that.

ANSHU03 IS THE END ALL be all of indian music. She is even better that Pt. Jasraj. Next time we should ask saregamapa to call her as the judge of the show. BTW anshu, if another person with an equal stature like Pt. Jasraj chooses debo over vineet, will you again say the same thing. Learn to accept the truth. Just because you like someone, it does not mean that everybody else also has to like that person. Also pt. jasraj was non partisan because he had nothing to gain or lose from this contest. While the other singers who came wud be a bit biased coz HR has the max. projects in hand and is one of the more successful M.directors today
