Would like to ask you one question, MeanTruthTeller....do you think that Vinit deserved to be in the final? ...After all, both Vinit and Debo got more votes than the "better" singers like Nihira, Hemu, Himani, Sharib.... The topic shd have then been, "why I think Debo or Vinit does'nt deserve to win"! 😉

Why debo won was not cuz he was better than Himani, or Nhira, or Hemachandra...(or even Vinit, but i dont want to make my friend mad again 😛)..anyways.. he won cuz he got more votes from people.. people who had nothing else to do than sitting in front of computers and clicking on buttons or dialing numbers.. ok this was the rule that one with most votes wins.. but if u see it from a different angle...it was supposed to be the best singer who was to win... i know saregama's system blew (like people could vote more that once..blah blah)..but none of the systems works.. i dont care that he won.. but i believe that he didnt deserve it.. cuz i have seen a lot of contestants who were way ahead of debo. i dont think i need to point out the moment when his own mentor walked away.. he knew debo was gonna kicked out.. he didnt walk away cuz other mentors gave debo. low marks.. cuz everyone knows NOBODY cares what other mentors gave... when it came to voting it was people's personal preference.. so he walked out cuz he knew debo was gone, he didnt believe in debo.... but i feel sorry for people who voted debo and gave him the most votes that week.. really sorry for u... i have no words for you.. im just sorry to know that ppl like u exist..sorry.. but thats what i feel and i have the right to express my feelings.. i am fair.. i am not saying vinit shold have won.. i am saying debo shouldnt have.. cuz there were many who were wayyyy better than debo...

Only if you had put in as much truthful effort in voting for all the participants you think deserved to win, you wouldnt have been so spiteful and bitter about Debo's win....

One more point, when you look back at the show and think as to which performances were extra-ordinary and the best performances of SRGMP. Something which was so damn good that it will stay for you with ever, then I would say it would Hemu's Nahin Saamne, Himani's Der Na & Jiya Dhadak, Nihira's - Saathi Re, Vinit's - Sandese & Parda, Ujjaini's Black song.

i think debo and vinit are excellent, but in their own arenas.
debo has a very nice, swift, and pulled together voice which never ever ever ever cracks, and it has a nice finishing of a bass tone, which tops the whole sundae with a bright red cherry. he sounds very mature and rythmic to listen to.
vinit, even though not really matured voice, has a great hold, which can go on for a long time. He has the great ability to reach high notes and control them, and he has the ability to change his voice octave between rythms and
and measures.
for two people who love music, what else would they want other than this?

And if you compare Debo and Vinit (leaving others out). He scored higher marks, I am forced to quote HR, who said that he always got 8 to 10 and never below. Plus Debo was regularly coming in danger zone.

Infact When Shreya, Sunidhi and Kunal were invited as judges, even in that episode Vinit scored 2 points more than Debo (in total). Also, when Pritam, Sandesh & Sandeep were there to Judge, even in that episode Vinit scored higher.
I feel we all have our opinions but I also feel that we should respect the judges and the guests as they may have some more musical knowledge than all of us here in the Forum.
And I feel the best judge on this is a man who has seen all performances and been there always and thats Shaan, if he feel that Himani & Nihira were the best talents, then I think i will accept that.

Even when AS caught Vinit and HR red-handed for manipulating with the tracks (cheating might me a more appropriate word), AS gave him 10 and said these scores do not matter. Well that says something about the mentometer scores, doesn't it? There are other examples but don't feel like writing a thesis on this.

Infact When Shreya, Sunidhi and Kunal were invited as judges, even in that episode Vinit scored 2 points more than Debo (in total).

Again these points do not matter and definitely not in this episode. HR was aggressive as some1 who got bitten by a rabies infested animal and suffered from the disease himself. No 1 really wanted to get in his way (his argument with Shaan was enough for that when Vinit lost a point). Moreover, I can say that Subhas Ghai was more impressed with debo and hema than with Vinit because Ghai pointed out in 1 of the songs that Vinit could have done better. Similarly, Tabu pointed 1 of Vinit's mistakes so she found hema and then debo better than Vinit. u can construct an argument from any of these.

Either way, hema, nihira and sharib have lost because of the unfortunate public voting, but the show retained it's prestige (given its current state of affairs) due to debo's winning the crown. people who keep compaining will always do so, so can't do anything about that (it's in human nature). and that's the bitter truth.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. ADwarkanath is absoltuley right! Debo is NO LESS singer.... As his initial inhibitions pealed away, he sounded better by the day....Some of his songs were SUPERB! So I am sorry but I CANNOT agree that Debo did not "Deserve" to win. I keep repeating myself...all TOP 12 are superb singers...so each was good in his/her own way...

I dont agree with you atall and I think you wont need any explaination as Friend17 has already explained you. Why do you go by the mentometers? It can be biased too. Just go by your own thoughts and then form your own opinions. You know HR . He can go till any extent to make vinit feel top of the world. So he must have hired somebody judges to give marks for him and must have told them to talk good about vinit on front stage. This could have also happen. Anshu it was just a hype man. You cannot say that vinit is bettter then deboo. It is just most of the people like you got carried away with all this hype and that is the reason people like vinit better then deboo. But actual talent is with deboo.
