N Sinhaji, my knowledge is very limited...and I truly enjoyed Mr. Anuraag's posting. He is very talented. To be a prize winner in an AIR competition is no mean feat. I just disagreed with his views regarding ranking Himani vs Nihira issue. Again he must have his reasons I am sure. I think he is very knowledgable and I learnt a lot from his posting. I think uselogic for posting this in the first place.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts in this forum.

good discussion...

one thing is that though we did a learn form anuraag ji, however looks like he has also learnt a lot from us..Isn't it anuraag ji? as u are management consultant , you will agree that whenever , when you put people out of their comfort zone or popular beleive, it will evoke sharp reactions....this is what has happened here....i really loved you first two posts( which i cut and pasted in a new thread) but the third one which you wrote on the new thread , i disagree with few points.. I have no issues where you are putting your website as part of u r signature.. 100 out 100 people would have done it ...and as u have metnioned that u gave it for a different reason..so i buy that....let me come to the point..

1. When u say NIHIRA went out of surs , lot of times, can you give examples , where did she go wrong? you must know EXAMPLE TEACHES BETTER THAN PERCEPT.

2. I was really suprised when u said debo has dictions problem whereas you never mentioned about hema's Diction problem which is far more more distinctive...

3. I agree that HIMANI voice has lot of "pain".

4. Did you watch other contestants like SHARIB, SWANANDA, UJJAINI....

5, Also i would like to know more about your views on mentors ( from thier music sense perspective) and your all time favourite MDs.

o cum'on uselogic ji ... cool down and just try to use some logic ( though i know you can't).. and you'll learn a lot many things ...

in your first point above you have asked to site an example for where nihira went wrong .... then my dear friend i'm afraid to say that you haven't watched all the episodes of the program carefully had you done the same you would have never asked the question ....

for the second point the only thing i can say is that please come out of your obsessioon for debo ...

well your third point is a valid point and everybody does agree ...

for the fourth point ... i want to say that the singers must not only possess pain in their voices but they must be versatile ... which the above singer fail to fulfil ... and they lag behind other singers in this department ..

your fifth point again shows your personal grudge which you want to fulfil agaist some mentors ...

Moreover Mr. Illogic.. i mean Uselogic ... I have seen that in your earlier posts you have praised Anuragji ... but later you have tried to bash him ...

can we know about this " Thaali Ka Baingan " like behaviour of yours 😃

surely you have been successful to show one more of your great qualities

Humility must follow knolw....
Will you pls explain the rationale behind naming the post like from Pt Bhimsen's disciple & not using his own name....?
I agree that he could be a big shot, but to say that Nihira missed sur too many times is ridiculous.
I'm myself quite well educated & have no intentions of attacking anyone.
Neither I've any interest in this competition anymore, but one should refrain from making baseless comments.
I may not be a sangeet vishard myself but my mother is certainly & many at times I've accopanied her on harmonium, I myself play some instruments, I'm not deaf musically, Gauravji.
I never lost control ever while discussing snything in this forum....

In my opinion...Nihira rarely slipped from sur. Her voice was very sweet and pleasing. Her voice was trained. Her song selection was not good enough. Nihira is a gem and a genuine find in this talent search.
I thought that Anuraag had given his credential's to support his posting and I enjoyed hearing his Kabir bhajan.
I did disagree with his ranking...which is why I posted my opinion.

Did not have time to peruse through the 16 pages of comments but I
liked the analysis of the top 3.

As for nihira slipping from sur -- I don't remember. I do think that some
songs did sound as good as other like Dafliwaali.

I think that there is a fundemental problem in India when classical
training and the results are not appreciated in music. It is like the US. In
the US, everyone who trains on a instrument has basic classical training
but so many pop singers have no training. Looks like India is going that
way.

If vinit wins, it will be a resounding statement by that voting public that
training and skill not more important than marketing and a teenage love
story.

👏 👏 👏 Hats off to you Gauravji. The others need to learn a lesson or two from you on just how to disagree with someone's analysis without making a mockery of him. Yours and Anurags thoughts and words are very refreshing in this link. Thank you both for posting.

Main ne to posting padhi hi nahin poori, Himani Nihira se aage bas mera to fuse ho gaya. How can Himani be better than Nihira. How can Sharib is nowhere. I feel it is somebody else who copied Anurag's comments and added his ranking to make fun of the music. According to this author Rajeev should be on top.

All are sick people. abhilash, shantibai, fm_qazi, uselogic. Only luv_music has shown some decency. All are giving excuses against Anurag Ji as Anurag Ji opinion did not match thier opinion.
