Sorry to disagree again. Bombay Dreams ran for 9 months in New York. I think from Apr'2004 to Feb'2005 and had over 500 shows.
It was a hit in London and did well in New York. Again, please get your facts right.
Partha,
Quote from Indian Express "While Bombay Dreams ran two full years at London's West End, it fizzled out in less than a year on this January 1 after its April 2004 debut at New York's Broadway"
https://www.indianexpress.com/full_story.php?content_id=62991
and it had only 284 shows altogether.Probably the lowest running show in broadway history
Well said. As they say, when you go to a fight make sure your gun is not filled with blanks. 😆
Besides the performance of a Broadway show is dependent on more things than just the music.
Well you said it, it ran for more than 45 days. Do we have less than 45 days/year?. They said it fizzled out, but show me an article where it says "Bombay Dreams" was a loss?.

parthaji put it correctly. It wasn't marketed well. Americans are more allergic to musicals than the Europeans.
ARR has scored the background music for Lord of the Rings III. What more do you want?
There are economic reasons why Bombay Dreams wasn't a resounding success(please see my other post)
Americans do love musicals. Lion King has been going on strong from 1994 and still houseful. Beauty and the Beast has been going great guns too.
Abilash,
Hope you get to watch atleast 1 broadway musical in New York. You'll love every bit of it. Age is on your side and hope that happens in the coming years.
